Beautiful music box, excellent quality, however, the lid was not attached. The screws were loose in the box.. and I put it together just fine. It is a gift for a 13 year old and it is actually quite nice. I suspect my item just slipped through un - assembled. Maybe the lunch bell rang right at that moment.

both hinges on the lid were broken. the 8 screws were all stripped and the drilled holes in the wooden lid seemed over-sized.I will repair it myself but I need very tinny screws.Made is China, poor workmanship.

The music box I ordered arrived today and I am stunned by the excellent craftsmanship and value of the product. The price is an excellent value for the item and it arrived safely packaged, not a scratch or defect to be found! I bought this item specifically for the removable artwork so I can put my own photo in the frame as a gift and it will work splendidly. The default artwork is about 4.5" by 6.25", but I think a regular 4" by 6" photo will fit well. The artwork itself is pretty nice, printed on glossy cardstock. I will probably hang it up as a daily reminder or add it to another gift. The music in the music box is loud and clear. It plays the first few notes of the song and chorus, it is definitely recognizable. The box is made very well, excellent wood detail, and it doesn't look cheap. The price and look was far more affordable than any I found on Etsy or other online sellers. I will definitely be back to this seller the next time I need a unique and personal gift!

I gave this as a wedding gift to my daughter and her new husband. This is the song of their first dance at their wedding reception so I inserted a photo of the newlyweds during that first dance. Perfect gift. The music is lovely (not too fast like some music boxes) and the box itself was high quality. I am sure my daughter and her husband will cherish it forever.

I bought this gift for a neighbor who as moving. She was recently widowed and this box and the music, “ It’s a Wonderful World” made her smile as she begins a new chapter in her life.The only downside would be that it wasn’t solid wood.
