Great air pump. Does the job easily. Just what I needed

This pump is AWESOME!!!!!! I have tried numerous pumps for my Intex River Run Tubes. Most pumps have been miserable. An Ozark Trail battery operated pumped from Wal-Mart burned up the motor before one tube was inflated....REFUND. I have a battery operated Coleman 4D http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-4D-Universal-Quick-Pump/dp/B00005JD3Z/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1337718311&sr=8-4. It works well BUT I use it sparingly for fear of burning it out like the Ozark Trail Battery operated pump did. ALSO it only has one nozzle and is good for larger valves NOT smaller pinch valves....AT ALL...PERIOD. I have an Ozark Trail Hand Pump [...]. It works OK...BUT...it's a hand pump and takes some sweaty effort. Nozzles also don't fit tightly into the Intex Tube valves. Since both hands are pumping I need a third hand (sorry I had mine removed at birth now) to hold the hose/nozzle into the valve. Good back up plan though. I also have a smaller hand pump- Summer Escapes Quick Set 200 High Output Hand Pump. $5 at Wal-Mart. Good back up to the back up. It whistles though....ANNOYING! OK...on to the this pump- Kwik Tek Airhead Air Pump Canister (120-Volt). This pump is AWESOME!!!!!! For people that say it is loud...compared to what????....compared to DEAD SILENCE....YES it is not silent. It is not loud enough to cause discomfort. It is like a drill or vaccuum cleaner comparitively. Too loud? Get a manual pump...just don't get the one that whistles. This pump has the screw on attachment that fits the Boston Valves on the Intex River Run Tube main tube area. It fills the main tube in less then 1:10- WOW! It filled the headrest part of the tube in less then 20 seconds. Including switching nozzles tube totally filled and ready to float in under 3 minutes. I have not used it yet with my power inverter in my truck. I also have not used it on any other items besides the Intex River Run Tubes and the Sevylor Cooler Float (which it filled in less then 20 seconds too). Best pump I have tried yet for that specific purpose. Happy Floating!!!!!

I've used this pump for everything from an inflatable bed to an inflatable pool and everything in between. This works great!! It's very fast and easy to use. I love that it has the attachments. You can inflate or deflate. I've had it for a little while now and have used it quite often. It's nice and small and compact, stores nicely in the closet and out of the way. But easy to grab and light weight for when I need it.

I bought in hopes it would reduce the amount of pumping my ISU-Paddleboard. It gets to a whole PSI (maybe) before I have to switch to the hand pump and the lack of gauge is actually more annoying than I thought it would be. For the price, I think the $14 pumps would do the same. That said, it is well built and easy to operate. The multi plugs are useful. I never felt once the hose was going to detach from the connections. Mainly because it can't build enough pressure to do so. I discounted a star due to price and not even getting to even some real pressure before quiting. Also... outdoor use is not recommended in any way.

I’ve bought several air pumps on amazon to inflate/deflate our arsenal of pool floats. I usually just choose the cheapest one available and they all look the same. What i like about this one, beyond the power, is the flexible hose design. It allows you to insert valve and leave float unattended while it inflates/deflates. You can try this with the cheaper hand-held pumps, but many times the nozzle disengages and you end up baby sitting the process. Spend a few extra bucks here, it’s worth it.

Don't you love reading reviews from people who have used a product once and give it five stars, or who tell you it's awesome but don't tell you how often they've used it, or for what specific purpose they've used it? I never write a review until I've used something several times, and I always provide enough detail so that someone considering the purchase of a product can make an informed decision. I read many of the reviews for this product before purchasing, and despite a few of the negative reviews, I decided to go ahead and order since there were so many rave reviews (probably from those that had used the product once or twice.) I'm so sorry I purchased this piece of garbage. I purchased this pump for the sole purpose of inflating swimming pool inflatable toys (beach balls, inner-tubes, inflatable whale, etc) for my children and their friends. We live in a suburb of Phoenix, AZ, so the kiddos swim once or twice per day during the summer. I used this air pump approximately every-other day to inflate 1-2 new toys that friends would bring over, or to add air to existing toys that had lost some air or were somewhat deflated. I would use this pump approximately 2 to 5 continuous minutes, turn it off for 5+ minutes and then use it again for another 2 to 5 continuous minutes. After use, I would always unplug it, and take it back inside and put it away. It died after two weeks of this light duty use. It took me a couple more weeks to contact Amazon, and thankfully, they were understanding and gave me a refund. I ended up purchasing the Stansport electric pump (also sold on Amazon) for nearly half the price of this one, and have been pleasantly surprised with it. The Stansport pump is actually louder than this one (if you can imagine that,) and it is not as easy to use, but at least the Stansport pump has held up much longer and has continued to function like a workhorse this summer! My advice, save your money and buy the Stansport electric pump or another pump.

This air pump does a very good job of blowing up air mattresses (and deflating them). Fast and not too loud. Only con I can think of is that n my case I wish the nozzles were a little longer to better clear the valve inside my mattresses. Save your breath and get this instead.
