When I first bought these Gundam markers, I thought that you would use them like Sharpies and draw directly on the models. But that's not the best way to use them. If you put a small amount of the paint in the marker on a pallette, you can brush paint with them, and get some amazing results. The color choices match the colors of the plastic perfectly, and you can do some amazing detail work. Add in a can of topcoat, and you can really transform a Gundam model into a work of art.

For those of us who like to work on Gundam kits but aren't heavily invested in model painting, these markers are absolutely great. They're paint markers and not ink markers, so you're actually painting the kits. They're extremely simple to use, and the ultra fine points help immensely with fine detail work, especially on the face and little nooks and crannies. I find the metallic Green to be the most useful as it's so simple to paint eyes and glowing panel pieces as oppose to using stickers. They're also great when you need to fill little white cutoff marks when removing pieces from the spruce. Simply dab with the color marker and rub with a q-tip. Keep in mind though, the tips aren't fine like panel line markers. YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO USE THESE FOR PANEL LINING! They're for fine to tiny detailing such as faces, weapons, hands, belts, odd shape glowing chest plates, circular orbs, etc. Also keep in mind, these markers will not give produce the same result/level of detail compared to hand painting or spray painting with model paint. These paints are meant for casual people who want extra detail to their completed model.

Bought a few sets of other brands but couldn't get a true red, always more to the pink. Ive used these over dark colors and they stay true to color. The super fine tips are great! Not much price difference from the cheaper brands either 😊
