I use this charger to to keep my deep cycle 12 volt batteries topped off. It is easy to use and it will not overcharge the batteries.yes I would recommend this charger to anyone that asked me.

Works as advertised. I'm storing my car for a few months, and I didn't want to drain the battery. I tested it a few times before I left and it worked fine, charging the battery and then shutting off. The display could be easier to read.

This is a great prodouct with one very bad problem. After about a year of use the wires which connect the clamp to the body of the charger become disconnected from the clamp. Apparently the wires (both black and red) are sodered to the metal clamp (under the plastic housing) very weakly and break off from the clamp. I was able to fix this myself by stripping the end of the cable, removing the red or black plastic cover of the clamp and attaching the end of the wire with a screw to a whole on the metal clamp. This however should not be necessary if this was designed better.

After 6 months both charger are working fine.Replaced Centech which melted wires in all 3.“Smart Fast Charger SON-1206D” charged but allowed the battery to run down and auto would not start.Using on BMW which continuously draws current for immobilizer, remote entry and security. BMW is driven infrequently and needs to be driven daily without a maintenance charger capable of 2-3 amps. This one works.Car is always charged and starts everytime.

Great charger I leave it on my truck and does an outstanding job when cold outside .highly recommended
