What is the warranty on this 12GB drive?

Hi, The warranty is 5 Year Manufacture Warranty which can be claimed by going on WD.com under warranty claim. If you purchase from us Serverpartdeals and you have a failure we would be happy to assist you in getting a quick replacement. As a seller of these drives, we do not see failure rates to be alarming. More often with Enterprise Drives you have the quality to last you past 5 years of use. Shipping is also very important to make sure there is no damage to your drives, hence we use suspended HDD boxes custom made for these drives do avoid failure and intern warranty claims.

What is the date of manufacture?

The drives I purchased were manufactured about a month before I received them. I believe these drives are still manufactured in the same factories which belonged to Hitachi before they were bought out by WD. But I don't know whether the particular drive you are looking at was on stock at Amazon or the supplier for longer than that. However, I would suggest you don't need to worry about the manufacturing date, as the warranty will start on purchase date. Let me tell you, these are the best and most reliable drives you can buy. I have Ultrastars running in my servers since over 10 years (yes, never replaced), none of those ever failed me.

What is the year of manufacture?

I guess it depends on amazon's stock. Mine were manufactured a month before I received them. If you order now I'm confident you get 2020 drives.
