A+ Thunderbolt 3 Enclosure
Pro's - Sublime build quality, ease of installation, very, very fast.Con's - PriceI'll let the screenshot do the talking - results are from a rather modest & very competitively priced 2TB WD SN550 NVME SSD. Perfect for photographers, videographers, or people who just like to move large files around their PC / Mac all day long.Unit gets hot when in heavy use but that's exactly what it is supposed to do. It means it's shifting the heat & yes, it's expensive but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend all day long. A++++ / 10/10. Buy it.

Works as boot drive for iMac 2019
I've used this as a boot drive for my iMac 2019, together with a Samsung 970 EVO 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) drive. I'm getting speeds of 2400MB/sec for both read/write, which was much faster than Apple's own NVMe drive, which through the years has slowed down to 800MB Write and about 2000MB Read. I used SuperDuper to transfer my the entire contents of my existing system onto an external drive, then onto the new flash drive connect through Thunderbolt 3. I couldn't be happier, now have 2TB as my boot drive, instead of 500GB without having to get Apple to take my screen off and pay a fortune to get a larger drive intalled.

Pretty good speeds
Seems to give pretty good speeds with Sabrent Rocket Q 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Internal SSD High Performance Solid State Drive R/W 3200/2900MB/s (SB-RKTQ-2TB) installed. This test is using an Apple MacBook Pro M1 Max.

Compact enclosure, good performance.
Runs hot but doesn’t impact on drive functionality.

Is this worth the extra cost?
I ordered the transparent ORICO Thunderbolt 3 Enclosure (Amazon: B08DNLWCK7), what I received was the metal version (Amazon: B09H2JSP3H). The contents were all there... the internal screw, screwdriver, cable, and thermal strip. I thought I'd give this a go, rather than try to swap for the correct item. I fitted a 2TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus. This was recognised by the MBP (2021), no problem. A quick test with Blackmagic shows 1312MB/s write speed and 2610MB/s read speed. Maybe this product doesn't work well with the Samsung SSD but I would have expected a higher write speed. Sitting just plugged in doing nothing, the enclosure gets slightly warm. During the speed test, it got considerably warmer. A final comment is the enclosure is secured by a screw at one end. The result is the enclosure rattles due to the other end not being tightly secured. I feel this product is expensive for what it delivers. I have a £28 enclosure that delivers 900MB/s read/write speeds with the same setup. Is the extra £100 for this enclosure worth it? Maybe... *IF* the write speed was better.
