Kept my fish alive
I had fish for a good few months because of this! The water in my location varied a lot in its pH, so it helped me adjust the alkalinity of the water. The fish died for an unrelated reason (a neglectful fish sitter). Starting up a new tank soon and will definitely purchase again.

Not bad, prefer Seachem line
I am a long time user of Seachem Neutral Regulator and other products in my show tanks. This didn't seem to hold as well. My water is naturally acidic well water. I also have to boost it up with Alkaline Regulator to get the right targets, depending on which tank mates. Know your incoming water and check it, before use and after to see the difference, and monitor your tank.

Better than pH 7.0
I bought this to maintain my daughter's goldfish tank at 6.8-7.2. Despite only 2 fish in the tank, it can only keep the pH at about 6.4-6.6. I still need to add pH up everyday. I will try pH 8.2 for hers. I use it in my tank with 2 tiny goldfish. So far the pH is staying at 7.2. We will see how well it maintains.

Good stuff that works but has a flaw.
Good stuff to keep the ph under control. The powder does cause cloudiness in the water but will go away as advertised with he activated carbon... Do not add if u have carbon because the carbon will take out any treatment you put in the tank. Add the carbon once the water is at proper ph and also check nitrite, nitrate, and ammonia levels. The carbon will take out the cloudy water but does get your filter dirty so make sure u clean the filter with your tanks water not tap, as the tap will kill all beneficial bacteria colonizing in the filters media.

Please do some research before buying this
So here's the thing. This stuff doe get your tank pH to 7.5. However, it is artificially changing the pH of your water and that is just a temporary solution. This can actually make the health of your tank worse in the long run, because you will need to use it continuously in order to keep the pH steady. As soon as this product starts wearing off, the pH changes again. You are much better off doing a little research on how to naturally change the pH in your tank through water changes. It takes longer but is ultimately healthier and a more long term fix for your tank

Brought on a white scum that I have never dealt with before. Had to move all fish to quarantine and COMPLETELY clean and redo my tank to solve the issue. Stopped using this product and haven't had the issue again. Now, if you have issue with live plants growing out of control this will stop growth real good! I decided to test its effect on live plants since the bottle recommended not using with them. Plants completely stopped growing!

Took more of the product to lower the pH than the directions stated. Salinity level also rose after use.
