Leaks Down
I purchased this item to replace a ram on an older engine hoist / cherry picker . I do not use it to pull engines its usedto remove beds off of trucks which are lighter in weightregrettably I waited past my 30 days of return to install it and use itIt is very hard to pump , but worse than that it slowly leaks down and will not hold up the hoist / you can see it movingIt does not leak fluid / yet

This was great out the box. Worked great. Wasted a lot of time with another vendor and 5 ram jacks... That said, this company delivered a great product at a fair price.

Quick replacement for leaking engine lift
My engine hoist was leaking badly. I needed to help a buddy move some engines, and decided replace the jack instead of rebuilding it. It fit well. I liked that the jack handle works in both directions. I was surprised an 8 ton wasn't stronger when lifting a small block Chevy engine. It did it alright, but I could feel the weight.

Doesn't leak down if you have common sense.
Disregard any claims that it leaks down on their cherry pickers. Im willing to bet literally anything the people complaining it leaked down didn't bleed it before they installed it. Bled mine like any other prefilled hydraulic cylinder and has held fully dressed ls engines with cast single plane intakes turbo headers, turbos etc. Also lifted the front of my race truck to pull the suspension apart. Pulled my long bed with it, literally all kinds of stuff and its held any weight ive left hanging at the same height I left it. Will be buying another for my other cherry picker.
