The concept is GREAT! The durability is there, I will say the box it came in was definitely NOT a clear tote it was more like what you'd get to carry your cupcakes in, flat and no handles just very dollar tree esk! It's supposed to be 3+ and it's very much not UNLESS you are willing and able to sit the ENTIRE time holding either the parts while screwing the "bolts" to the "nuts" or both or almost to the point you're doing it yourself then letting the child play with the toy YOU just made! I'm sad I had high hopes! I love stem I taught preschool for a long time but this is most definitely at LEAST 5+! I would have waited is all I'm saying and I dropped the ball reading the reviews because it's been mentioned! That's on me I guess,and we'll put it up for awhile until my grandbaby doesn't get frustrated because he can't do it HIMSELF!

My son loves this stem kit. I love that the instructions are clear and allows me to participate with my son. There are many things to build and we have built 2 since Christmas. Looking forward to completing the complete set with my son. Anytime a kid comes back to to ask to play with a gift again you know you did well as a parent

Bought for my four year old and he absolutely loves this. Really like that it comes with two screw drivers with toddler handles and two wrenches. Makes sharing with brother and help from parents a lot easier. I can see him using this well into elementary school so we will definitely get our monies work.

This is easy for little hands. This works like real tools, as you need the wrench to hold in order to tighten certain things, however on the first build the wrench broke, and not repairable as its plastic, of course. It was given as a gift and we have been building things since then. Easy to follow directions, however some of the items the directions have to be altered as they must not have thought about the end user making the item and screw placement etc. We are still able to build but out of the 4 items we built 2 have had to be altered in order to fit with screw placement or materials being able to mesh flat.

At first, I was afraid that this toy would break easily and it wouldn't be worth it. However, this building toy is well designed and great for kids who want to build things. Keep the pieces together so they don't get lost! This is a great buy and I really recommend it!
