Bless analog
Perfect. Don't want three diiferent thermometers reporting to my phone. Big enough that I can see the temp through the greenhouse walls.

Worked like a charm
I got this because it was cheap, and provided exactly the replacement of a hurricane damaged thermometer/hygrometer. Came right out of the box and onto the wall.

4 out of 4 completely inaccurate! Really?
I purchased four of these about a month ago and I got to say I am appalled at the amazing level of difference between all four of them, and not one reading correctly. I have several other older ones (from the 1980's) that are dead on and also a top level Fluke temperature probe that tells me the correct temp to the tenths. Yesterday, after gathering them all to test side by side I left them in the shed for several hours to level out, then at around 6pm (after sun down) and still inside my storage shed I measured with my Fluke probe exactly 40.7 degrees (also verified by a 30 year old alcohol based thermometer), yet one of these said it was 55, another said it was 48, another 45 and the last one said it was 44. Also, wow the readings only goes down to 15 degrees, umm really? My old 1980's Thermometer shows down to -40. I mean where in the heck in North America will it not some day get down below 15??? Oh, yeah southern Aridzona and Florida, excuse me I forgot. The humidity sensor is also WAY off, with one reading 55%, another was 50, 52 etc etc. Not a single one of the four agrees with another. Absolutely horrible horrible waste of money and resources IMO.It is clear that we just do not make stuff as good as we used to. I am throwing all of them into the trash. Thanks Springfield for taking my money and not giving me a solid properly working product. Back to searching for a working product I guess.EDIT: I would just like to add, unless you buy more than one you probably will not realize just how bad some of these are. I am sure they probably make a few here and there that work properly, however I got FOUR bad ones which is plenty enough for me to not try again, lol. A single unit even 5 degrees off and you would never know unless you had something to compare it to. Having four side by side, not to mention other probes etc, is what gave these away. So, think twice before dropping money on these. If you do not care if these are wrong and you just want something to give you a general idea of temps or humidity, then by all means the construction seemed Ok IMO.

Decent Low Quality Temp/Hydrometer - Needs A Day Or Two Positioned Vertically Before It Gives An Accurate Reading
UPDATE - I've upgraded my opinion from 1 Star to 3 Stars because I may have mistakenly declared this product completely defective before learning new information. After demanding a full refund & tossing this thing in the trash. I recently purchased a much more expensive Temp/Hydrometer gauge and it too seemed to be partially defective and inaccurate. However, it came with an instructive owners manual that clearly states to let the gauge be set up correctly and give it several days to self adjust and acclimate to its new environment and climate before thinking its defective.SO HERE IS WHAT I'VE LEARNED FROM THE OWNER MANUAL & SPEAKING TO A PROFESSIONAL THAT MAKES A LIVING RELYING ON THE ACCURACY OF THESE GAUGES -a) When the gauge arrives do not formulate your opinion like I did and others until after it's set up and hanging properly in the vertical position for a day or two at an appropriate location - not where Sun is shinning directly on it or next to an A/C.b) These gauges were stored for days, weeks, months in extreme temperature conditions lying horizontally before and during being packaged & shipped maybe several thousand miles. That's the reason for the 1-2 day adapting and adjusting period to a different climate before it can give a more accurate reading. Other reviewers myself myself included may be prematurely declaring these thermometer/hydrometers defective primarily caused from lack of information.c) This gauge needs to be hung in the correct vertical position for which it was designed for.d) If hydrometer seems inaccurate or needle is stuck in one position for a long period of time IT CAN BE FIXED.VERY IMPORTANT REGARDING HYDROMETERS !!!* It is common for Large difference in readings from Outside humidity verses Inside humidity .* Not unusual to see 5-10% Variance between several Hydrometers near each other in same house, room, or location.* How to know or adjust Hydrometer to make it fairly accurate- it is very normal that exactness is virtually impossible with these lower cost household Hydrometers. Simply see if it's reading fairly close to other well functioning hydrometers.* If needle is stuck in one spot or it's off by 10% or more just ADJUST THE SCREW IN THE REAR ( I did not have a clue any of this could be done ) or wind the needle with your finger clockwise or counterclockwise until it is in the same range as the good hydrometers .* How to calibrate? Just Google calibration for Dial Hydrometers.* TEMPERATURE TEST -Easiest Most Simple Test For Temp Accuracy On These Vertical Mercury thermometers is just compare against several other well functioning thermometers.Sellers or Manufacturer should be sending out these same instructions and information with these basic vertical mercury Thermometer/Hydrometer gauges as I'm sharing with all of you because I didn't have any of this knowledge until I purchased a more expensive model that came with instructions. No clue on how to adjust the hydrometer with a screwdriver or your finger and to set this thing in the vertical position for 48hrs before expecting accurate readings.I'M SPENDING ALL THIS ENERGY BECAUSE I FEEL GUILTY AND VERY BAD IF I WAS WRONG SAYING PRODUCT WAS NO GOOD:a) I Slammed the Seller for pushing defective product. b) I demanded a Full Refund. c) I gave AMAZON horrible feedback about Seller. d) I wrote a very terrible review about this product and all along may have been wrong- to my credit all done unintentionally- I'm sure other reviewers reacted the same way - tossed it in the trash - all because of not being told it needs a few days to set up and adjust to a new climate.Okay - I feel much better and I hope I helped the Seller with this new much more positive review. For all you potential buyers out there I think this is a decent product especially if you use the information I just shared.Anyway, Seller agreed to give me a full refund. I figure I may owe Seller this good review because after learning what we know now I have a strong hunch I wrongly declared this item pure garbage and completely defective.Good Luck People- hope I helped someone.

Seems very accurate, great low price
I have every reason to believe that the thermometer and hygrometer are both accurate. This product was inexpensive.I placed this analog thermometer-hygrometer directly next to a digital thermometer-hygrometer in my bedroom, so they should say the same readings if they are both accurate. They mostly agree, but I think this analog instrument is more accurate and it changes faster when the air changes. For instance, when I turn on the air conditioner, this analog hygrometer usually drops by about 10% relative humidity in the first 20 or 30 minutes, whereas the digital hygrometer takes about 1 or 2 hours to notice the change. The hygrometer never goes very close to 0% or 100%, but I suspect that is because the air never goes that far. During the winter, I suspect the hygrometer will drop closer to 0% humidity, but only time will tell. If I breathe directly on the hygrometer (from the back of the instrument), then it goes up to about 80%.You can calibrate the hygrometer by turning a screw on the back, but I have no idea where you would find a better instrument to use as a reference. You cannot calibrate the thermometer, but it seems very accurate. This product is larger than necessary, in my opinion. If you mount it on the wall, it will stick out almost an inch (depth). If you have poor eyesight, then you might like how large it is.
