Puddles is not an official name. He is "The Duck"
The University of Oregon Duck has never been named Puddles as far as I know. It was a nick name as sporting events many years ago and was announced that the Ducks's name is actually, The Duck.

Good gift for OSU alumni
Got this for my physical therapist who went to OSU. He works with aquatic patients and has collected rubber ducks for years,but he didn't have this one. He was thrilled and said he'd been looking for it for years. Really glad to make his day
