I use a dollop of this shaving cream in a cup with a badger hair brush to make a superior lather. The lather forms a great skin protection. I have a heavy beard and use a straight razor and/or double edge razor to achieve a result that is unbeatable. The great scent is a very nice bonus. The Sandalwood scent is also amazing.

I've used many of the TOBS creams. These are NOT soaps as many have indicated. Tobacco Leaf is a unique scent that I haven't seen before. So, I ordered. Definitely not the scent I was expecting. It's a great scent, but it comes across as more floral than tobacco. Eaton College and Royal Forest are still my reigning favorites though. Lathers well as all TOBS creams do. And, provides a very comfortable shave. TOBS is my #2 favorite brand, and their creams never disappoint. Great value as one tub will last me a very long time, and I use it liberally. A little does goes a long way.

UPDATE- The scent has grown on me. Still don't get where the tobacco is, but after using this a few times, the scent is pretty nice. I love TOBS, used it for years, my favorites are Cedarwood and Royal Forest. This one's new to me. It works great, lathers well, excellent shave just like all TOBS shaving creams are. But the scent is just okay, sweet with some cedar and other notes, but nothing really special for me. Not sure where they get tobacco leaf from, smells nothing like tobacco to me.

One of the best shaving soaps I've used, and I've tried several. It doesn't take much to whip a thick, luxurious lather, and the scent is very rich and masculine without being overwhelming. A little goes a LONG way, and one word of caution: it's a very "soft" soap and not milled like some of the other brands, so don't over moisten it or feel the need to let water stand in the bowl for a few minutes to get it brush-ready.

Absolutely brilliant product. My nephew was raving about this product, and particularly this brand. So thought I'd give it a try and see what the big deal was. I'm impressed! Excellent lather, great fragrance, and good for sensitive skin. Love the amount (see below), feeling when shaving, and post-shave feel. My problem: I always scoop up a "bit more" thinking I'm undergoing it, but then end up with way too much after using the brush. This stuff really whips up quite a bit. So, it's going to last a loooong time. Overall, highly recommend it. Yes, you can get cheaper ones, but given that this will last a really long time, it's worth spending just a bit more on something that makes you look forward to shaving :)

Would I buy this fragrance again? Absolutely! It is my preferred "fall-winter" shaving cream! The description that Taylor of Bond street gives is spot on, IMO. As soon as you crack open the lid of the tub, the wonderful scent & aroma fills the air! Lathering enhances it! The entire shaving experience is great with "note" of the tub! Even after the shave, the scent remains on your skin; my wife compliments it all the time! Dapper, sexy, handsome

Taylor of Old Bond Street makes great shaving cream. This is a new scent from them. The shaving cream works great, but I was not a big fan of the scent. Sandalwood is still my favorite. As with all Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving creams, they work great. The container advertises as a shaving bowl, but you will want to use a separate shaving bowl to create your lather. Once the bowl is empty, it can be used as an actual shaving bowl and does a pretty good job of it. A little goes a long way. All you need is one quick swirl of your shaving brush to have enough soap to create a great lather. If you have never tried Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream, give it try and see what you think. After trying them, I use them exclusively for my shaving cream needs.

I have wet shaved for many years and have always used hard soaps mainly because I considered they would last me longer, (I’m on my pension so these things must be considered), but having used one brand for a long time I found it hard once past halfway down to get any lather at all. In desperation I bought this soft cream, it easily produces a thick creamy lather from the smallest amount of shaving cream on my brush, it lasts for ages, feels great, smells great (though not very tobaccoey), and has transformed my shaving experience into a genuine pleasure.

We had bought this shaving cream by accident at Tommy Guns and never looked back! We ordered it from Amazon this time, same price really. It lathers beautifully, it smells great and you don't need much. My husband loves it and I love the close shave it gives him along with the amazing manly scent the room has when he comes out of the shower! We are not a fan of the other scents or feel of shaving creams from this company but for some reason this one is perfect!

Absolute pure luxury when it comes to shaving. Was hoping the tobacco fragrance was a bit more pronounced, it is super mild and almost pointless but the shaving experience with this shaving cream is unlike anything I've shaved with before.
