Kodiak Furniture Phoenix Full Size Futon in Butternut Finish with Storage Drawers, Peter's Cabin

We've had this for over 2 years now, and this has been one of our best purchases ever!!! Premium quality product...solid wood construction and an actual (hinging) innerspring mattress plenty comfortable for sleeping! I love the folding tables on the side, they are perfect for our small home. Also, the drawers underneath are great for storage! The upholstery material has proved easy to clean and is showing no signs of wear, even with a very energetic 3 and 5 year old adding to the daily use. 😄 If you're trying to decide about purchasing this product, I say go for it!!!

I was taken aback when four boxes were delivered...not realizing how much assembly would be required. Futon arrives with one allen wrench as the only tool needed to assemble it. I am a 65 year old woman and decided that I wanted to assemble it myself. I needed my husband to help lift the bed platform into place and help open and place the mattress. Otherwise, I did it all myself; the frame took about two hours. I did the drawers a couple days later and they took less than 30 minutes.We purchased this for the front porch of our log cabin. The "peter's cabin" cover was perfect for our theming. I love the butternut color. We struggled to find exactly the right package with butternut, the drawers, the wonderful fold up leaf and Peter's Cabin cover...with prime shipping.We are very pleased with the function, quality and appearance of this futon.

Have only used this for sitting so far- no COVID visitors- but it's comfortable for sitting. Definitely easier to assemble with 2 people. Futon came shrink wrapped tightly in a roll. Can't recall how long it's been, maybe 2 months now? but it STILL has an odd smell to it, though it has improved. We keep the window cracked. If you have a good place to air it out awhile before it's slept on, it's probably a good idea.

I only got a frame.. no mattress. And everytime I try to call someone it gets me nowhere.
