Amazing Laptop
ProsThe processor is AMD Ryzen 4500U which is better and cheaper than the latest 10th Gen i5 processor. The fingerprint sensor is pretty fast and responsive.Boot time is 7-8 seconds which is pretty coolMicrosoft Office comes pre loaded and gets activiated with your Microsoft Account.Battery life is good ( 6-8 hours with basic stuff likes watching movies, working with MS Office).Cons :It's not for gaming, so if you're a hard core gamer then this laptop is not for you. There is no laptop bag along with the laptop. The speakers are good but they are placed at the bottom, so sometimes the sound is kinda muffled, although the speakers are pretty decent. There is no option to increase RAM as it's soldered.

Best laptop of 2020
Let me start by saying that switch to AMD ryzen from intel was the best decision i took in 2020.The processor clockspeed and performance is unmatchable to any in the market.Happy to have this latest generation product from AMD ryzen 4500U series.PROS:1.Great choice for students since ₹ 8000/- worth MS office is pre-installed for lifetime use.2.very sleek design with aluminium body. Great change felt after switching to this device from my bulky lenovo IdeaPad 10015idb3. Software is very smooth. No unnecessary blotware in asus device like the ones in lenovo and other similar brands.4.Booting speed is very fast. Fingerprint reader is excellent.5. Speaker is good. Not very loud but had good Audio quality w/o distortion.6. Screen quality is good for indoor use.7. Attractive backlit keyboard with adjustable light settings.8. Very compact light weight and travel friendly.9. A go to product for research students.10. Excellent battery life.11. The customised stickers add a fun touch to the laptop12. Also from my experience this laptop can keepup with heavy usage like 6-8 hours of continuous online classes.CON:Only a single concern .Don't know if its just with my single deviceBut the touchpad seems lopsided ; a Little depression toward the right side below the fingerprint reader .very minute wont feel much difference.Touchpad acts up and cursor moves on its own at time. Hopefully a driver update could fix that

Asus VivoBook S14 Ryzen 4500 - Excellent buy
As my 4 yr old HP 14 inch HD i3 4th gen/ 4 GB started becoming slow, I shortlisted 5 mid budget laps after some research, during Prime Day sales. All are 14 inch Full HD, 8 GB RAM & Windows 10 Home. All prices are without card discount.1. Mi 14 Notebook - 10th i5Pros- Stylish, Thin & Light at 1.5 kg (1.6 kg with webcam), 10th i5, 512 SSD @ Rs 45,000. Good battery 45 WHr.Cons - SATA (Not NVMe) SSD, No Type C USB port, Loses 1 USB port if webcam attached, No Card Reader,No Backlit KeyBoard. Wifi 5, MS Office only 1 month trial.2. Dell New Vostro 14 3491 - 10th i5Pros - 10th i5, 1 TB+ 256 NVMe SSD @ 50,000. Expandable RAM, Type C port, 3in1 Card Reader, MS Office.Cons - Less Stylish, Bigger, relatively Heavier at 1.66 kg, 1 Ghz Processor, Average Battery 42 WHr, No Backlit KB. Wifi 5.3. Asus VivoBook 14 412FAPros - Stylish, Thin & Light at 1.5 kg, 10th i5, 1 TB= 256 NVMe SSD @ Rs 50,000, Expandable RAM, Type C port, Card Reader.Cons - Poor Battery 37 Whr, No Backlit KB. Wifi 5, No MS Office.4. Mi 14 Horizon i7Pros - Stylish, Thin & Light at 1.35 kg (1.45 kg with webcam), 10th i7 with 1.8 Ghz base, 512 NVMe SSD, MX 350 Graphics @ Rs 60,000. Type C port, Good Battery 46 WHr.Cons - i7 is 4 core only, RAM not expandable, Loses 1 USB port if webcam attached, No Card Reader, No Backlit KB, No Fingerprint Scanner. Wifi 5, MS Office 1 month trial.5. Asus VivoBook S14 M433IAPros - Stylish, Thin & Light at 1.4 kg, Latest Ryzen 5 4500U 6 cores with 2.3 GHz base, 512 NVMe SSD, Radeon Vega 6 Graphics @ Rs 60.000.Extra slot for SSD, Type C, Card Reader, Better Battery 50 WHr, Backlit KB, Fingerprint Scanner, Wifi 6, Lifetime MS Office.Cons - RAM not expandable, Type A 3.1 USB port only one (+ 2 USB 2.0).I decided on Asus VivoBook S14 Ryzen 4500U despite poor ratings in amazon and received it on 10th August. The lowest i7 1051U processor powered laptop now available is Mi 14 Horizon @ 59,999. Then nearest i7 10th gen is above 70.000 from other brands. This S14 has Ryzen 4500U which is more powerful, more efficient and slightly less power consuming than i7 1051U.(Same Asus Vivobook S14 is available with more powerful & efficient Ryzen 7 4700U with 8 cores & Vega 7 Graphics (all other features same) @ around 70,000.)Initial impressions -Very Stylish & Light (Even charger is very compact and is only 270 gm, others expectedly heavier.), Great Display, Very fast Booting, Net Connection & Shut down. Audio could have been better. Keypad is very good with letter/ digit in bigger font size, Trackpad very nice to use. Charged Battery full showed 11 hours 12 min, shut down for 24 hours, still it showed 100% . After more than 3 hours of continuous system updates and another 15 minutes of full HD video play, it showed 55% remaining. Again after 24 hours of shutdown it shows 53%. After some light work, at 51% 4 hrs 49 min. So battery should last around 8 hours on routine use without any games. The full HD videos were quite good with excellent color reproduction and sharpness.UPDATE on AUDIO.The speakers, as I said earlier could have been better. But have noted that if the quality of the youtube content is high, audio output also improves. With the Windows media player, if you play movies from hard disk, the output is just about average only. But if you download and use VLC media player and play the same movie, audio output is much above average (though this also can vary depending on the quality of the content you play). The main use of laptops world over is not gaming, but learning, networking, creation, productivity, and movie watching. For gamers, there is a subset of Gaming laptops. If there was no Covid, the price of this would have have been at least Rs 4000 less, and if all those who spent most time playing games on laptops used at least half of that time for learning & productivity, probably we would have got this laptop for Rs 45,000.Would be better if amazon accepted ratings & reviews only from verified purchasers, if they believe in ethical business.

Higher price but great specs.
Price is much higher. Anything below 50k would be a great deal. 3 star ⭐ for price otherwise it deserves 5

Defective product
11 days into the use, the display and keyboard don't work when you switch on at times. The keyboard and backlight becomes comoletely unresponsive mid usage. 10 days return policy for products which could be defective like this is not enough. Buy at your own risk.
