Does what its supposed to do
A nice little tester that works perfectly. Used it to successfully run ethernet cable in my house. Definitely need a tester to troubleshoot connectors and wall plates. Has a nice little flashlight that can be turned on and off separately. Comes with no instructions (except what is written on the case) Hold the button on for a second to turn auto mode on. It will cycle through each wire LED. If it lights, it's good. If it doesn't, you've got a problem. Hold the button down for 3 seconds and you are in manual mode. You can press the button to move from one wire LED to the next. Hold down button for 5 seconds and it will turn off. Pretty simple.

Decent for Price
Works as advertised. I gave 4 stars because the plastic case and battery cover are thin and I guarantee will break sooner than later. I do like the little built in flashlight. It is great for those dark rooms and behind furniture where light is scarce.

Works as advertised
The media could not be loaded. Performed as expected. I only use these once in awhile so I like having USB power and not having to worry about batteries.

Works well for being so cheap
This network cable worked well and definitely did the trick. It was able to test my Cat5 cable with no issues to assure correct wire alignment was made. Can't go wrong with the price either. Although this cable tester doesn't have a lot of bells or whistles it did what I expected it to.

Piece of Junk
Don't waste your money - critical piece of equipment for wiring and if it fails you are totally lostFind something that is reliableThe basic problem is it never turns off so drains every battery put in it until it starts clicking in a drawBut the actual testing fails as well - tested working cables and the lights are random in appeareance

RJ 45 tester
The fact that it has a remote termination and a ground check.

Its a cheap tester but works
What can you say about a tester that costs $10? Well it works. Its not great, the test lights are very dim even over short distance with a new 9v battery or USB. I needed a tester to check continuity and shorts on some small non critical cables and it does that job just fine. If you don't need the ground/drain wire tested then there are certainly better testers out there for not much more money.Pros:Cheap,8C+G testing for 9 conductor cablesDual power source, 9v or USB3 test speedsCons:The On/Off Switch is for the useless blue LED, not the unit itselflack of individual wire test, you have to wait for it to cycle throughvery dim indicator lightsno LCD display

Great way to help reorganize your cabling.
One of my clients network switches where a total mess and I could not tell where any wires went. This helped me identify and label each wire correctly. Time consuming yes, but much better after.
