Some of the reveiws mention size irregularities, specificaly the the h is at least a j size. i want standard size h 5 should i buy e f g or h?

The hook that I received is true to the other size 5.0 mm H hooks that I have. The tip is smooth and slightly pointed more like the Susan Bates brand of crochet hooks. I am very pleased with my purchase and will get more sizes as I need them.

I use the size H hook. And I have not had any problems with the durability at all. I make afghans and amigurumi as well. I love this hook. I can not wait until I can afford to get a whole set with the lites; like this one. It is made of a durable plastic. Since it is battery operated the handle is slightly larger making it at least somewhat easier on my hands to use. I hope this is helpful to you.

Where do I find batteries for the crochet hooks?

According to the packaging, the batteries can't be replaced in the hook. They have nonstandard batteries whcih means it's probably a lithium battery. You use it til it goes out and then you have to buy another hook. I hope this helps.

I have these and can’t the batteries to go in them and stay. Any help?

The more you use the light, the faster it seems that the battery goes out on it. My light won't come on anymore. But I don't regret buying it. I still use it without the light on. So you will need to decide if you want it or not.
