validation of a lifetime of misinformation
i am unsure of eleanor worsley's credentials as any sort of psychiatric md or practicing rn, however, her knowledge and research of bipolar two disorder is incomparable. it is the validation i have always needed, not only to understand my diagnosis, but to also identify with another person that has had the same experiences as i have. great read. great research and resources on the part of worsley. absolutely worth the read for anyone with bipolar 2 diagnosis. i have read every page and put notes in all of the margins. highly recommend.

The change we need.
Most people have a very vague idea of what bi polar actually is and this book is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to broaden their knowledge and get a better understanding of this highly complex, misunderstood disorder. If you suffer from bi polar, have a relative/friend/colleague who does or if you are interested in mental health then this is a must have book for your library. In many ways mental health is still a taboo for many people, it’s a subject which doesn’t get discussed at the dinner parties, book clubs, family gatherings, schools etc and this needs to change. Books like that one is a step in the right direction, this change is long overdue. People need to learn that mental health is nothing to be ashamed of, we need to learn how to ask for help and how to help those who seek it. For way too long medical diagnosis like bi polar or schizophrenia have been used as an insult or when making fun of people.I can only say that this book needs to be in every single library.

Explains my whole life
I wish I’d read this 20 years ago. It’s nice to read you’re not the only one. I read the whole thing in about 3-4 hours as it is very readable and divided up into lots of short subtitled sections. It’s well-written with pros and cons of various strategies to manage your symptoms and attention to how different people experience different feelings and symptoms. Her book also recommends a couple of other books and so I’m off to buy those now.

Very informative and helpful. Personal knowledge of bipolar two, and her friends
This is an amazing book, very informative. Easy to read, due to being in small chunks. Not only informative, it is very helpful for friends and family who have bipolar two. It is not written by someone who has learnt about it from a text book. The author wrote about it from personal experience and from friends who have bipolar two. I highly recommend this book.
