OK game in 2025
This used to be a must-have in 2010s. There are plenty of alternatives today, but it is still good to experience it. You could buy a map of your hometown to be more involved in the gamw. Good value for the money!

Fun expansion for some variety
The split Korean market and linear Chinese economy are interesting variations

Shipping Damage
Great game, poor shipping. Shipped in an envelope with no protection aside from the shrink wrap. Unsurprisingly, it arrived with some dings and slightly smashed corners.

Nice addition, but a little complex for kids
Power grid already has a lot of moving pieces to keep track of, and this adds a layer of complexity to it. We would probably love it if our kids were older, so I'm looking forward to pulling this out again in a couple of years. I really like how this game helped us see where the cities in China and Korea are in relation to each other. These games work great for teaching kids about cities and the world around them. I appreciate that in this and similar games like Trekking the national parks and Ticket to ride.

This game feels mathy
This game feels too me more like doing math homework than playing a game. It feels like there are mathematically optimal decisions rather than strategic decisions. For that reason, our group rarely plays it when other options are available.

Ordered for my brother, directly to his home, for a Christmas gift, he’s is pleased with this item, as it’s what he wanted, although it took a week longer for delivery, keeping us on tender hooks.
