Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Ombre Yarn, 1.5 oz, Gauge 4 Medium, 100% Cotton, Summer Print

I really was excited to work with 100 percent cotton, and with this specific color. I was not disappointed in the quality, but with the QUANTITY. The description failed to mention that this is a bon bon of cotton yarn, and not a full skein. I would have given 5 stars if not for this major fail. It was enough to make a SMALL baby hat, with some yarn left over..just a teaser, because I don't think I can use the left over for much. Look at attached picture for better detail.

This has got to be the roughest 100% cotton yarn I have worked with. So glad I have experienced other brands, because I have brands to compare it to. I was shocked at how rough and tough it was to work with. My fingers started to hurt from the texture, and the yarn did not glide with the hook. I am more than willing to pay higher for quality cotton yarn, but this is the worst I have worked with and it’s awfully overpriced per gram. I would not dare use this on my face as a wash cloth. I honestly feel like the best solution is to make dish scrubbers out of this yarn - seriously... that rough. A part of me wants to think “Maybe bad batch.” Unfortunately, I don’t want to waste money and give it another chance.

...what your pay for.Bernard is one of my fave brands and I love a cotton yarn for crochet. I did not read the description as closely as I should have.The price was way too high for the small amount of yarn purchased (even considering convenience). I take some of the blame, but I find this too often on Amazon purchases of yarn.Do your research and confirm what you are buying sight unseen.It did crochet up nice for a blanket for a Barbie. Yes, that is what I made.

Tiny!!! The picture is definitely misleadingly. Ridiculous for the price. Returning.

My fault that I thought it was bigger just from the photo. Had I realized it was about the same size as a Peaches & Creme or Sugar N Cream cotton yarns that I normally use, I wouldn’t have bought it because it cost 2x as much.However, it is a good cotton yarn to make dishcloths or soap savers with.

I just paid $6.82 for a skein that has 68 yards of cotton yarn in it. I had no idea how small the 1.5 Oz was. I had to order another one to finish a project, but I'm definitely not ordering this brand through Amazon again.I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I really love the yarn. I am making a set of dish towels and matching dish cloths for a gift.

I wanted some cotton for Cat Butt coasters (yes, that is a thing - goggle it on Ravelry.com). You need a yarn that is cat colors and this was that. But it was a bit fiddley to work with and had to have constant eyes-on. Usually on these basic sorts of projects, fingers work and eyes are watching a show or something but, after having to rip out and fix over and over, I had to actually watch every stitch to get these done.

I received the wrong yarn. I ordered the ombre and got regular candy sprinkles which is very bright blue/green and not what I needed. Very disappointed because I really liked the ombre as it was pictured. :(

Very tiny for the very high prices and they are mini balls of yarn. They are extra tiny. I bought 4 for a 1.00 each at Walmart. If you like working with cotton they are nice, but this seller is price gouging. The price is to much should only be a 1.00 or less for ALL the colors they are selling. They should be the same price as Walmart. Walmart in Canada sells all colors of the same yarn for .98 cents each. They are sold out because of covid. I had to buy some for my sisters blanket and this seller is charging 1.98 each up to almost 15.00 each for one very tiny roll. Don't buy unless they are 1.00 or less. Go to Walmart Canada or Walmart in the US.The picture I'm sharing is to show you the size different and price different. I bought the larger yarn at Walmart Canada for almost 4.00. I bought a total of 8 very tiny yarn from this seller for 1.98 each and that is to much for the size. I would NEVER pay even 1.98 let alone almost 15.00 or more because of the extremely small size.If I didn't promise to crocheting a cotton blanket for my sister, I never would have bought it.I find the cotton yarn hard on my hands because it takes the natural oils out of my skin and dries my hands out. The other yarns colors they are selling are astronomical prices much more then any other yarns I buy and use to make blankets year round. If my sister didn't have to have cotton blanket I would never have bought it because of the sellers astronomical prices and the extremely tiny size. Amazon needs to step in and make a policy that doesn't allow sellers sell any items at more then quadruple what they should be selling them for.

Ummmm I figured for the price it was the larger balls of cotton.. did I seriously just pay almost 10$ each for 2 tiny balls of yarn?!! Like the size of yarn balls that can make one wash cloth each lol. So mad right now. Will go to Walmart for my yarn shopping in the future.

I expected this skein to be much bigger than it actually, I haven’t started using it yet though, so can’t comment just yet.

Nice colour and feels good but way smaller than I was expecting. Just thought it’d be a normal size but it’s like a mini ball of yarn. Much cheaper at Walmart.

Lovely colours and great to crochet with. Arrived weeks before estimate delivery date. Wishing I'd ordered more.
