Great little speaker, nice and weighty also, sign of quality, which you would expect from PUREUnlike other reviews!It’s very easy to set up and use with great position of buttons etc and you can store 4 dab presets!!!Bluetooth works great also, if want a speaker for camper van, camping, garden, bedroom, you name it, then buy one, we wanted to stone colour but not at that price so had the black at £60. Buy it.

I already have Alexa devices and use them to listen to streaming services such as BBC Sounds, Spotify, and Amazon MusicI bought this device as I needed a radio to listen to the radio in the garden and wanted the bonus of using Alexa to stream stuff as wellThe StreamR doesn't really have Alexa built in - it relies on a bluetooth connection to a device running the Pure App which hands off the Alexa requests to AmazonIf your device is turned off - or if you pair another device which doesn't run the app - or if you go shopping and someone else wants to use the StreamR - then Alexa doesn't workTurn off your paired device - and Alexa doesn't work - it seems the device doesn't auto connect to the paired phone/tablet- you need to go back into settings and reconnectIn terms of what Alexa on the StreamR can do - well all the standard stuff - what's the weather, time etc all work. If you have an existing device to control smart home elements like lights and plugs this all worked for me.Where this falls down is streaming. Amazon Music works, Spotify and BBC Sounds aren't supported.In an attempt to sort of fix the issues I had I tried to pair an Alexa unit to the StreamR. I had to unpair my device with the App running (so no Alexa on the StreamR) but the Alexa device didn't recognise the StreamR (it does pair to a basic speaker)Buetooth on the StreamR supports only one device - so no pairing a tablet with music on it - I guess thats why you get a Aux cable and jackDAB seems ok and DAB+ future proofs you but if you wanted a speaker with Alexa built in this probably won't tick all your boxes

Great sound but tricky set up

Lovely compact speaker with a good sound … was a bit tricky to set up and connect to blue tooth … charging cable didn’t work and had to contact Amazon

A lovely unit at an excellent price. The only negative being that it sometimes requires a small wire antenna to be pulled out to get a decent signal which seems odd as the previous DAB radio didn't.

Great sound, if yo can get it! Rather difficult to set up. Still trying after 2 weeks!

This was a replacement. After contacting PURE they said a replacement would be made by the seller on Amazon as it was within warranty. As after 6 months it failed to charge. A bit disappointed I wasn't given a straight replacement. A refund and purchase again cost me another £10. Happy with the sound and quality just expected it last longer than 6 months. Hopefully this will stand the test of time.

Good value for money has a nice sound. Little bit heavy bit great for around the house in the garden.
