Integrate the Shadow, Master Your Path

Short and sweet
Ive read alot of books on this subject, but im always left a little bewildered after--feeling like it didnt stick. But James took a very complex subject and made it fun, friendly, and digestible. After reading this book, I can say i understand Jungs structure of the psyche, especially the inverse relationship the shadow and ego have with each other. I also liked how James sorted out the Anima/Animus, and how it manifests in our every day relationships---that was helpful. Most importantly, I am now learning to become aware of the intensity that comes up when triggered, and what James identifies as a direct correlation to shadow. There are some things I intensely react to that I dont want to, and its nice to finally gain some control over this by understanding this is my own shadow stuff, that i am unconscious about.

It’s ok
Parts were good. I’m glad the author recognized his own shadow. More depth would be useful.

Great book will read again
I liked the way that Dr Matt explains the shadow and how we can learn to integrate it so that we can have less of a charge and more of a balance. I believe this is a great book for everyone to read and practice. This is the type of knowledge that will help us bring more balance to the collective.

Simple personal growth for anyone
This little book has enabled me to see how my behaviors affect others so I can have better relationships with them. By noticing how my reactions are opportunities to free myself of my own issues I have more joy in my life. The explanations are clear, the style is easy to read, and the techniques are so simple that anyone can do them with little effort.I keep going back to this book as I continue to recognize what it teaches me about myself and how to be a happier and more relaxed person.

I have done a bit of research on The Shadow, and this book discussed areas not mentioned in other books. I absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed this book as it led down many paths I had not explored. I do not believed one can fully comprehend the ideas in one reading (at least I cannot). I am on my third read and I am still enjoying the new ideas that emerge. A treasure.

Beautiful way to look at the shadow
This book have a different perspective of ego and shadow that I resonate with more. Integrating the shadow and paying attention to my projections and emotional charges to where the "not me" is will be easier with the tools laid out in this book. A must read!

Must read if you're ready to grow to the next step!
This book is for those that are 100% ready to grow and be transformed. Don't read this book if you're wishy-washy because you'll miss the whole big point and that's not fair to you, your family and everyone else in your life. My hope and intention for this review to be true and not just another nice review

GREAT BOOK!!!
I love this book, I always refer to the exercise whenever my shadow comes up and I immediately get an answer. The shadow is the strong feelings of; “I am not”, that causes you to have strong opposing feelings to people that are what “you are not”. This book teaches you what this is and the exercise helps you to discover what you need to learn from you strong opposing feelings! I recommend this book to everyone, it will help you navigate through the feelings of your ego, big and small!
