This worked perfectly with my dyson V8 animal.

Used to repair a Dyson V7 Trigger whose internal filter had disintegrated and was blowing bits of black foam everywhere. Easy to install; I used a putty knife at the 7 o'clock position to pop the original cover off the back. Note that the wide notch in the new adapter goes on the bottom, narrow notch on top. Looks and works great.

This is a great add-on for my Dyson V7, which didn't have the HEPA filter attachment initially. Cover from Dyson vacuum difficult to remove, but followed instructions found on youtube, and got off within a few minutes. Assembly very easy. Very happy with purchase.

First the good news. This item fit perfectly on my Dyson V7 Motörhead and allows use of the HEPA filter that comes as part of this order, or with a Dyson OEM HEPA Filter. Also the HEPA filter that came with this fit ane worked with my Dyson V8 which came with HEPA filtering. It is an affordable upgrade to non HEPA equipped Dyson V7 or V8 stick vacuumes. Also of note the non removable standard filter in Dyson V7 and V8 (non HEPA models) cannot be cleaned. So as these units are used for a while this filter just gets more and more dirty. It is made of a foam material that is similar to an oil filter on a motorcycle or the or a shop vac. The Bad news. make no mistake it is very challenging to get the original Dyson non replaceable filter off so you can put the new end cap on, which the HEPA filters twist lock onto. Dyson clearly did not design this part to be removed by the end user. It snaps in the back of the motor unit. Fortunately it is not glued in place, but it require some significant force to remove it. Likely if you tried to pry it off you could well damage your motor unit. I tried with various pry tools that are used for computer and cell phone work to no avail. Including various plastic pry tools and the things that look like guitar picks. What did work to snap it out was grabbing the old end cap filter with a large shop vice and snapping it off (not twisting). This scratched up the end cap (which is replaced with the kit parts). However understand that unlike the video on the product page, where they have already removed this part and it looks like it’s just slides out easily, it does not! So nice product, works well, challenging to install the new part, but you only have to do this once, and then filter changes are easy, just twist off and twist on.

The back of the motor to my Dyson kept falling off due to a crack from my dropping it so often. I had tape on it, but the tape was starting to peel off so I purchased this as a replacement. This was great! It fixed my problem completely! The filter and motor are now closed off completely, nothing is falling off anymore. It fits great and was cheap!

Dang, this item along with a long filter that fits inside of our regular Dyson V8 works wonders. SHOULD have changed to these years earlier ! Was really looking at getting a newer Dyson model ... but they all are way too expensive. The suction actually is soo strong that i sometimes turn it from MAX to the 1st position. IT PULLS ! ... am gonna have to use my wrist wrap later. This cleans as well as when new (maybe better, don't remember that long ago.) Seperately bought 2 of the long inside filters alng with 2 of the blue outside oval filter but one still needs that grey attachment piece.

My old Dyson came with a sponge filter that did not appear to be very good. So I ordered this replacement and the hardest part was to snap the old one out - there is a YouTube video, however, that tells how to do it without breaking anything. The new one is easy to install and it works great. Some have said that this will provide better suction and less noise. I cannot tell any difference to be honest, but I'm happy with how it works anyway.
