A gem
Had the book about 3 weeks, so knowledgable and breaks down each recipe micronutrient wise. Love the sub headings too, grab and go, strength, recovery. It’s made Vaganuary an enjoyable one. And I’ve not missed out on taste. A must if you need to fuel your body efficiently, to train and recovery well.

Disappointed
Hardly any photos in the book. No glossy cover, it’s matte and it’s very thin. Bought for a gift, really disappointed.

Recipes look good. Many for 2 servings
I almost didn’t buy this because of some reviews but it has just been delivered and I’ve been reading though. My 43 year old son became vegan 15 months ago ( thankfully he doesn’t live with me ! His wife has to “ suffer” that ) not an athlete but does run ( marathon next April ) and goes to the gym. He has a problem keeping his weight up above 13 stone at 6’4”. So I thought this would be a good idea. The recipes seem very interesting, so much that I may buy it for me ! The paper is a bit cheap and there are no pictures of the finished meal but does that matter if the recipes taste good. Use your own artistic senses to serve them. Many serve 2 which is good It is American so in cups measurement and I’m sure you can purchase any of the ingredients in Uk though not sure about yellow potatoes and tomatoes. There are meal planners and grocery list making it easy too. Breakfast and smoothies start on page 58 and recipes finish on 185. There’s a list of 20 high protein foods and another easy egg replacement of 8. So for a non vegan I’ve about covered this book! But may just give it a go as don’t eat much by way of animal anyway, just seem too old to change 🙈

I purchased over 30 different vegan and plant-based cookbooks, and this one, by far, is the most practical. Recipes do not require expensive processed protein powders. Everything in this book is something I already eat so I do not need special expensive ingredients. The process to follow the meal plans is laid out really well for beginner or seasoned meal prep folks. I love this book!!

Just bought this book yesterday and I've already made one recipe (Mediterranean couscous salad, it was so good!) and have a bunch more lined up that I'm excited to try. I really love that it includes nutrition information and meal plans along with the recipes, it's a great resource for anyone. I just recommended it to a friend of mine who's really interested in nutrition and has been wanting to try out more vegan meals.
