It's a flange. It looks good, is well made and fit the shower stem with a little adjustment of the tabs as expected. It is a big improvement over the old flange. It does the job, not much more to say about it.

Cheaper and identical to what you can buy at big box stores. Unfortunately they are plastic but seems like all you can buy these days.

This works perfectly for my shower, but just be aware that it's plastic. I didn't realize that when I bought it, but it's the flange on my showerhead and you can't tell, not that you would ever stare at it and say, "Hey that's plastic!".
