Excellent sling
Well I am no expert on slings, but I suffered a broken shoulder two weeks ago and I have learned a few things since. I was discharged from the ER with a sling. The nurse candidly noted that it was not a very good one and I could buy a better one. So when I got home I started my Amazon research.I read reviews and this one stood out, primarily because it did not dig into the neck. The one I got from the ER was instantly annoying my neck.I was hesitant to buy it because some reviews noted that it was complicated to put on and that you would need assistance, and I am 74 years old. But other reviews included some very helpful videos so I thought I could manage it myself. I was not going to get help from home with this due to my husbandâs own health issues. So, first, I got it the very next day. Fantastic! Within about 24 hours of getting home from the ER with the crappy sling I had my new sling. Thanks to the helpful videos, I was able to put it on myself without any big problem. It was instantly more comfortable than the ER sling. It is padded and soothing. The cradle portion for the elbow extends far up the arm and has a warming and swaddling effect. The one from the ER (and a mesh I bought for showering but did not like ) felt like they cut into the back of my upper arm (as well as my neck)This sling has an extra strap that hangs down your back when you put the primary (nicely padded) strap over your shoulder. If you make sure not to get it tangled, you reach back with your good arm and grab it and wrap it around your waist/rib area in front and attach it to the sling with the Velcro tip. It holds your arm against your body which aids with immobilization and also has a swaddling effect. I loosen it for sleep. It has been two weeks now and Iâm so glad I got this. My last x ray showed no movement of the fracture so itâs doing its primary job of immobilizing the bone so it can heal. There is a small strap that goes over your arm near the elbow that keeps it cradled and an adjustable wrist strap that raises or lowers your hand to a position where you are comfortable. Pulling down in the back strap before you fasten it also affects how high your wrist sits against your bodyThe Velcro closures on the straps can be a bit of a nuisance and attach to stuff where you donât want them to attach but itâs pretty easy to get the hang of sticking them to a part of the sling so that they are out if your way til you are ready to fasten them where you want them. All in all Iâm so pleased with this sling. Iâm enduring my first broken bone and I think this sling has made a difficult situation a bit more livable.Update from newest X Ray on June 3. No movement of the fracture. So the sling is definitely doing its job.

Best sling yet
Best sling yet. Due to a stroke a family member wears a sling on one arm. The strap around the neck was and is painful. This sling takes the strap off the neck due to the T strap design. The sling is not that hard to put on and off. The price is very reasonable, it is well made with good material. So glad to have this

Breathable sling
The arm sling arrived this morning, I also purchased a support system online, it arrived two days ago, Amazon wanted at least one week for one of their vendors to ship one to our home. With a severe right shoulder injury, time was a major concern; thanks Jeffrey-boy for your promised one to two day delivery!đĄ The shoulder support system still allowed movement of my shoulder, very painful and very little sleep for three nights. But, I am already feeling better with my shoulder, I still believe it will take time to heal, so I am taking it slow, giving it time to mend. I got the cool breathable sling since temperatures are starting to heat up. Four stars since waist strap needs more length, but not needed.

Strong material
erfect, my husband had a pacemaker put in, and he had to keep his arm still, this was perfect, you can use it for the right or left, you can adjust the arm if you want it higher or lower, I recommend it, I ordered the medium 175 lbs.

Very difficult to adjust to left shoulder; needs chest wrap
4 stars for immobilization of shoulder for broken collar bone. I had to add a wide velcro strap from another sling by this same company in order to totally immobilize. Unfortunately the sling that came with the wrap put a strap across the injured shoulder so it was a no go. With the wide strap I have 5 stars immobility.1 star for not selling the wide chest wrap separately so I did not have to buy 2 full slings to get the relief I needed.1 star for adjusting it to fit left arm. It took more than an hour for my friend to go through instructions multiple times until we got it mostly right. I still have a twist over my right shoulder but I could not bear the pain of taking the sling off AGAIN to fix it. Maybe tomorrow. I have now found a similar sling from another company that sells a left arm sling. Wish I had bought that one.1 star for adjustability after getting it on when in left arm mode. All the adjust straps are now next to my body and very difficult and painful to reach. Now that I have it mostly right and with the chest wrap snug, I would give it 5 stars for immobilizing my shoulder and arm in a no-pain position.1 star for âvalue for the moneyâ since I had to buy 2 slings in order to get the chest wrap for this one.

Very comfortable for a very uncomfortable situation
This thing is amazing! Itâs extremely comfortable. It doesnât dig into your neck. It is versatile for one side or the other. It supports everything including your thumb. I tore out the tendons and muscles between my shoulder and my bicep. It is keeping everything stable. Especially having a strap that goes around your back to keep your arm from moving forward. I drive for a living and other than trying to put my seatbelt on. I have no problems whatsoever. It was worth every dime. Also I live in Florida so it is quite warm, but I bought the non-ventilated one and I like it much better. Itâs still breathable and more comfortable because it has a padding in it.

Snug and comfy
It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to reverse the default Right arm to Left, but once I did, it was very comfortable. Way better for my fractured clavicle than the cotton throwaway from the ER. Tip: if reversing - watch the video FIRST LOL. Might run a little big.
