Yes. If you want the wall plug then you have to order it separately.

Q: Will it work with 5.0 ml tubes or would it need adapters?

i used up to 8.5 ml. i only used this for about 1 month or so.. it suddenly stopped working though. it would not turn on at all.. i had to return it.
