Shell Rotella T4 Triple Protection Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil - 55 Gallon Drum

I switched to using this oil after reading many positive reviews on different motorcycle forums. I use this for the 1970s Honda CB750s that I own and I have had no issues. The price is great and it is easy to find either on Amazon or other big box stores for about the same price. No need to spend double the price on other oils when this one meets all of the specs for my classic bikes.

I use this in my 2006 Chevy 2500HD and it works great. Engine runs smoothly and works like it should I tow an RV and this holds up well under those conditions. I change it about every 7500-10000 miles.

This is the only oil I use in my 7.3 F350 Ford

Cheap oil but don't let the price fool you! I've been using it on my KLR650 since day 1, and no clutch issues or slips, etc. My gearbox is in fantastic shape and the engine pulls strong. Can't beat 12 dollars for a gallon!

This is a great oil for a great price! Have been using this oil in all of my diesel trucks which is probably over 30 different trucks. Don't have any worries when using this.

Rotella T has long been used by many frugal motorcyclists, but this new 'Triple Protection' formulation has introduced some issues into this household's motorcycles. Immediately after being put into a 2004 Suzuki VL800 drained of the same weight, the motorcycle would no longer start without a generous application of choke. Some occasional clutch slipping and an increase in engine noise was also noted. In a 1983 Honda VT500C, tremendous clutch slippage began, increasing with engine temperature. Engine temperatures tended to run higher than expected. Draining this oil and replacing it with a dedicated motorcycle oil addressed the issues.

I run this in my class 8 Pete with a bypass filteration system and have done for over 15 years. I currently have 285000 miles on my oil and 875000 on my last overhaul, running a pre emission C-15 Cat.
