Was pleasantly surprised
I never had sea grapes before and my kids wanted to try so I purchased a smaller quantity that came with two free powdered sea grapes and the salad dressing. I pre rinsed then left a pack soak for five minutes before transferring to ice water for another 3. I was shocked there was no ocean or fish taste, just crunchy little bubbles of water. They were a big hit with my children. They rather eat them plain with no dressing and if you do use dressing keep it on the side to dip in so your sea grapes don’t deflate as what happened to me when I dumped a little Italian dressing on and walked away for 4 minutes. Part of the fun is watching the sea grapes rehydrate. We are looking forward to making skin masks with some of the powdered sea grapes later tonight and adding some in with our matcha green tea lattes. Excellent product and will be buying lots more as my children already put them on our shopping list. Good to see a healthy food kids ate willing to eat.

Contains Micro Organisms - Not Fully Dehydrated!!
When I opened one of the individual packages, I was expecting a dried (dehydrated) sea grape. Instead the pouches contain a partially dehydrated sea grape that was moist. I wish this had registered with me but it didn't. Followed the instructions, watched the tendrils unfurl (pretty cool actually) and placed a bunch on my rice and chicken bowl for lunch. The flavor was very mild, almost tasteless with a crunchy texture to the little grapes that pop in your mouth. So far so good.About halfway through my stomach started to feel funny and then was full-on nausea. I stopped eating them and grabbed the box to read it. Under Instructions, there was header labeled Precautions with 5 bullet points. The first 4 are pretty benign until you get to the 5th one stating: "Some small organisms may be mixed with the Sea Grapes, but it is very safe for consumption and no effect on quality." I freaked out. What organisms pray tell?! Now my stomach was in a full on revolt, it felt like I had gotten food poisoning. Like when I had eaten something bad in a foreign country. Side note, the product is manufactured in Vietnam. The nausea and stomach upset lasted for several hours even after a trip to Urgent Care since this felt like food poisoning. Since travelling a fair bit, I never take these things lightly and they can last depending on whether you've ingested bacteria, viruses or parasites. The fact that the sea grapes were moist in their pouches allows for the possibility of contamination by water-borne organisms that are carried in the sea grape and/or in the processing at the facility in Vietnam. Either way, it doesn't inspire confidence. Conclusion: This product has a statement on their packaging stating there may be organisms in their product but not to worry. I would strongly disregard that. This tidbit of information is not mentioned anywhere on the product description on Amazon. You'd have to see this physically on the box in your hand. In addition, this is labeled "Longevity Dehydrated Sea Grapes" which is misleading. When people see a product is "dehydrated" they expect the product to be thoroughly dried, devoid of any moisture content. The product labeling should have said, "partially dehydrated" so you would know that the product still contains native liquid or has water content in it.Now I'm taking naturopathic herbs to kill parasites and bacteria since that is what I've probably gotten from eating this stuff. I would avoid this at all costs!

Super salty, but worth a try. Use sauce!
This is great for asmr. I always wanted to try these and they were exactly what i hoped for. They taste like ocean and they made me a lil gassy. I have IBS though and these didnt hurt me too badly... still, proceed with caution! Drink water with this dish. It tastes really good with sweet sauces. I like them with thai sweet chilli sauce and ponzu. They have a nice crunch and an odd texture. Watching them grow in the water is fun and you really dont need to follow the exact recipe every single time. I simply soak them in the purest water i can find, with a few ice cubes in it. The package has a few packets of the seaweed.

If you’re texture-reactive, careful! But fun
I discovered these through a tik tok video and had never heard of or seen them before. They were an interesting experience to try at least once. They do come sorta dehydrated and watching them bulk up again in cold water was fun. Salty taste on their own but pretty good in yuzu and soy sauce. The texture is kinda like a mix between a popping boba pearl and a really fresh, crunchy grape. If you’re texture-sensitive like me, they may freak you out at first. I did get over it mostly due to my curiosity but I don’t think I could eat these consistently because of the texture.

What a fun and healthy fooood!!
The media could not be loaded. It comes in a small bag, after 3mins soaking, it blooms!!! Really fun and interesting to watch 😉 i made sure to have a video for you guys to see!It has kinda a fishy taste if you eat it alone. Adding some sauce will make it much better. I ate it with salt and pepper with lemon juice sauce. It was really tasty! You could use any kind of salad sauce! It’s good for your health, increases immune system, good if you’re on diet! My mom loves it too!

Tasty and easy
This is a nice textural complement to sashimi. I soaked and then served on ice, and the grapes remained full throughout the meal. Served with a little chili and lime, as I saw on an Asian cooking show. They were pretty tasty and provided a nice contrast. UPDATE: Tried with Kewpie toasted sesame dressing as the dipping sauce--great! Even better when you mix in some freshly grated ginger to brighten up the sauce. Also tried another brand but came back to this one because it's easier to open, more bite-sized pieces, and more vibrant color. I also like the free sea grape powder packets that come with this, as they don't have a strong flavor but are great to add to meals like ramen in which you might want some extra green nutrients.
