If I already have a single 4 ohm subwoofer and want to wire to 2 Ohms can I just use this resistor instead of buying another sub?

If you want a 2 ohm load, that'll work.

Working great for my simple purpose

I'm running a subwoofer off a single channel of a stereo amplifier. I already had a great class AB amp. But I didn't want to leave one channel unloaded, because I thought it might damage the amp or degrade performance. The sub is a 4-ohm Scanspeak Revelator, so I put this 4 ohm dummy load on the other channel.It's working great for my simple use case.
