Brother MFC-J470DW Standard Yield Ink Cartridge Set

I purchased a set of this ink in June 2020. I printed a few cards -- probably fewer than 10, and they were not full-page pictures. After that, the printer sat unused for months. (We rarely use our color printer, and only for cards. Most of our printing is done on a laser printer.)In late November 2020, I tried to print a gift card to enclose in someone's Christmas card. It's not quite 6 months since I last used the color printer in June. The ink is completely gone -- either dried up or evaporated. There is no way I used anything close to $50 of ink on the few pages I printed in June. And it's not the first time the cartridges have dried up rather than being used up. I am deeply disappointed in Brother. At this point, I have spent way more on ink than I spent on the printer, and most of that money has been wasted because the ink is too unstable to last once the cartridges are inserted into the printer.

The generic ink - never had a problem. My printer updated and only takes the official Brother ink now so I got these. Awful. Never print. Have to clean the jets all the time and then only halfway prints. It’s like there is no ink in them but it has been that way since I recently installed them. Never buying Brother products again.

I don't use an awful lot of ink. A fair amount of time elapsed between the purchase of these cartridges and their use. Still, when I installed them, they worked beautifully. I've been very happy with the performance of the Brother products I've tried so far.

Its best to use ink with the printers name on the ink. Economy inks don’t always dispense as well. In the long run the name brand pays for itself with better quality.

As a teacher who has to buy her own printer's ink, I wish that it lasted longer because it is expensive on a $0 budget.

These cartridges are not compatible with Brother MFC-J470DW as indicated in the listing. Please refund as I am not able to use any of them and I bought 2 packs. Absolute waste of money and falsely listed. I've tried resetting the printer and spent 3 hours troubleshooting with official Brother website customer support articles. These cartridges are useless and if not refunded this seller just stole $120 from me. Amazon please do something.
