Just as many of us have been experiencing over the last few months, I have been having some serious bouts of stress. Usually, I keep these stress-fests under control by taking a long walk or playing with the neighbor's dogs, reading a book, having a beer or two, having a quart of ice cream (or two), but sometimes I just have to BUY SOMETHING! My house doesn't contain much stuff, so I can usually find something that I really need (haha) that doesn't cost much. The act of browsing through the hundreds of "you might also like" items suggested at amazon is often enough to satisfy my urge to spend a few bucks. However, I really did need a new spread for my bed. My current bedspread has served well over the last several years, meeting my needs and those of my last five cats. [NOTE: I adopt the most elderly cats from our local Humane Society, so there is nothing in the least suspicious in having several cat deaths in the last five years.] Anyway, the quilted spread arrived timely, and it is as described, i.e., colorful, not too heavy and well-sewn. Upon arrival, I ran it and the accompanying standard pillow sham through the washer and dryer with no problems. Along with the spread, I also purchased the "recommended" sheet set in teal, and it really was a good pairing, as you can see in my photo. FYI, the sheet set is the HollyHOME 1500 Soft Brushed Microfiber Bed sheet Set. I used the matching pillow sham to cover the cushion on the little bench under the window. You can't really see it in the photo, as there is too much sun coming in. What you CAN see is Sandy, as usual, posing for the camera and leaving her impression on every one of my possessions. Sandy is my newest rescue cat. She's the baby, being only 14 years old! So, yes it was an impulse buy for me. It was also a departure from the usual plain, neutral bedspreads I am known to choose. But, it turned out great: Good product, nice looking, easy care, recommended by Sandy and by me.

I am in love with my quilt set! I tried SEVERAL before settling on this one. My experience has been that you get what you pay for. The less expensive sets have been of lower quality — cheaper material, less stitching and/or smaller dimensions—and they don’t look like the pic! I chose this one out of the “quality group” because it has beautiful, vibrant colors without being over the top bold, and it has the Boho vibe I was looking for. The set has quality stitching, ample size, Is carefully cut against the pattern (that’s a biggie!) and though it’s lightweight it is warm enough that there has been no need to add a blanket or comforter underneath. The only two things I would change if I could is 1) I would have a double-sided pattern (like a couple of the more expensive ones do) instead of single sided/plain fabric back side, and 2) change the light purple trim on the quilt (random? Lol) to a color that matches the pattern colors. Neither of those were showstoppers though. We love it and I have received several compliments. One other note: Quilts today are not the same as your grandma’s (heavier weight, detailed patchwork, etc. ). They are much thinner and made from one large piece of printed fabric. That goes for quilts sold at Macy’s, Steinmart, Kohl’s, etc. So sometimes complaints about quilts being flimsy and cheap are relative. Just something to keep in mind.

I was surprised by the colors. The description is accurate but the illustration is not. I can see why it is frequently returned. I decided to keep it because it is lightweight and colorful. It takes some looking to find that the underside is microfiber which explains the great price. I bought this quilt to replace a microfiber comforter because it didn't breath and I woke up overheated during the night. We shall see how well this one does in that department. The size gives very generous coverage of my king size bed and it really is quite beautiful. I wanted boho, I got boho!

Really like the fabric and the quilting. It is thin enough not to be too heavy on the feet but still warm enough for spring/fall use without additional blanket. However, the two pillow shams were cut from different parts of the fabric, so they don’t match when you put them side by side.

I used to buy high-end quilts, when on sale, and they were always a traditional style and color. They were beautiful but they were kind of boring - and they always had some blue, my favorite color. Then last summer, I found a quilt I loved that was quite different- large orange and yellow flowers with some black line painting and my husband decided I was having an "old age crisis" because it wasn't blue and it was unusual for me. I bought it just a few days before I turned seventy. Then, this Fall, because I love quilts and have always had one for Summer and one for Winter, I hunted everywhere for a quilt I really liked. The first one I ordered from Amazon was way too bright so I decided to concentrate on my favorite color, blue, and found this quilt. It's really neat! There is navy, light blue, aqua, medium blue (kind of a light navy, as the backing) with splashes of white and a goldish-orange color, as a contrasting color for the middle of the white daisies and to accent the swirls. All these designs are in horizontal stripes. I guess it's Bohemian but I've never really had that kind of taste before, or maybe, now that I'm seventy, I'm finally letting it show! I love that the two pillow shams, which are hard to get onto a king-size pillow but fit beautifully, have the same design as the quilts but are different from each other! I'm wondering how well this quilt will wash but quilts are the one thing I buy and don't immediately wash. We don't sleep beneath them. I always fold them down over our feet and we sleep under a sheet and a blanket. Same with the shams: we don't sleep upon them. I read reviews and everyone said they washed well for them so I'll find out when it's time to switch to my Summer quilt, because I always put them away clean. I highly recommend this quilt! Interestingly, our bedroom is still a soothing place but it's bright, so it's not as "snoozing" as it's been for the past thirty years! I've been thinking of some of the old quilts we had and some of them were brighter but as we had more money I could spend, I somehow started buying really sedate quilts! Don't fall into that trap! This quilt is just so cool looking! It makes you feel happy!

I was tired of taking off our heavy comforter every night as it's too hot to sleep with it on, so I decided to try a quilt that I wouldn't need to take off because of the lighter weight. I also wanted to brighten up the bedroom and look towards spring! I probably looked through 100 or more. I found this one and decided to give it a try. Wow! It looks great! We slept with it for the first time last night and it was wonderful and the lighter color sure sparked up our bedroom! It appears to be well-made & love the design. I wish the sides came down just a little bit further, hence the 4 stars. I will have to put my bedskirt back on but at least it's the right color! I was looking to avoid that but I still love this quilt!

Seems to be very well made. Thicker than i thought it would be but not too thick. Held up well during wash and dry. Very colorful

We love this quilt set. It is much better quality than I expected. It had a funky smell so I washed it right away. It washed beautifully. I had also purchased the matching shams. All pillow coverings fit nicely and look great. They all have a zipper on the back. Everything is backed with a beautiful Turquoise. The fabric is not soft and fluffy but cottony soft. We were looking for something cooler for the warmer months. It especially got softer after the wash. We love it so much we purchased the matching throw. It is also approved by "Annie" (our Lab). It was a little shorter on the sides than I hoped (we have a king size bed) but nothing a dust ruffle won't fix. A great purchase and price.
