Great iron for the price!
This is seriously a great little ironing station. I will say the black rubber sections that you see are of course adhered with adhesive, no big deal and as to be expected but where it overlaps to hold the tips on the side the adhesive on the underside of the rubberized matting will sometimes stick to the tips. You'll see the adhesive residue on the tip where it was sitting in the little holder. Not a big deal really, the soldering iron makes up for that and most other stations don't have a tip holder so again not a big deal. This thing though, the iron and heater element work great. It heats up very quickly and just has that extra power you need to soldering quickly and effectively. The seat for the iron works nice too and the inside is lined with metal shielding. The area where the tip sits when resting in the holder doesn't get hot.You may want to bend the solder reel holder in a bit though and make it tighter so the axle doesn't pop out when pulling at the spool.Overall I have been really impressed with it. Works well and under good care the tips stay tinned for a while. The finest tip that comes with the kit is really nice but you can easily overwork it, best practice to turn the station while not in use as it heats up so quickly. The handle can get a bit warm after running for some time but I actually see some things on this iron that look nicer than the more expensive ones. Technically the more expensive ones have a ceramic element that is housed in metal that you put a little tip on which can be tricky (like dealing with a candy corn) while this design just informs you to be gentle when tightening the fastener.Best to just tighten by hand. Use caution pay attention and make sure you don't grab a hot iron!I've been able to do a good amount of soldering and the station has been a pleasure to use. Sometimes the dial can be a bit finicky to get it right where you want it and the knob is not exactly straight on the pots shaft (tiny detail things) but all in all highly recommended station here. In most cases I've found it's not soldering that's difficult, it's trying to solder with tools that too bulky simply inadequate. Very pleased with this station!

Fast heat/cool. Minimal cons. Overall great. Would buy again.
The media could not be loaded. This little tool is an excellent soldering station. No electronics genius should be without this digital soldering iron station kit. It heats up to maximum temperature in under 30 seconds. You can fine tune the temperature to your solder and project needs. Handy for making solder extra sticky not too hot, wet, and taking forever to set.Cons:Cord is a little short. Could use another 6"-12".Everything you need BUT flux. (Sample please?!)Solder roll holder is a little loose.Had to trim the sponge.Pros:Excellent cost to value ratio. Best product possible at the best price mission accomplished.Machine feels very solid and reliable.Very fast heat up. Fast cool down. (Nice to have with kiddos roaming the workshop). Temperature selection works better than I thought it would. Plenty of tips and accessories. Included roll of flux core solder.TLDR Overall, I love this machine. It feels very safe. It performs well. It's easy to use. It feels like it should have cost double. I'm giving away my old soldering gun and iron because this machine replaces them both. Not only that, it made them obsolete. If I have any problems later I will update this review but I'm giving this my recommendation. It seems like a really good product. I'll likely buy another for a gift because I know it will be great.
