iFixit iOpener Toolkit

Well, iFixIt have done it again, this is an AWESOME bit of kit, just everything works so well, the cost is prefect, also, I had a issue where the iopener leaked, iFixit replaced it without any fuss at all, just can not fault them. The kit is so easy to use, the added storage space for the screws and bits is amazing, the drivers stay in place brilliantlly and the magnet closing holds it all together great.

A good basic toolkit for repair of mobile devices glued parts, display. The microwavable iopener strip useful for small displays, prefer dedicated heat pad for larger devices. Overall another great kit from ifixit

Great kit. Replaced my steam deck she'll with a pink one, using this set. Worked well, but feels a tad over priced

So bought this after wanting to self repair my iPhone 13, needed the heater to help heat up the glue on the phone, needed to pop the thing in the microwave for 30 seconds as it is heat resistant and then place on my iPhone, with some prying was able to remove the screen and replace. Well worth it especially when it costs over £200 quid to replace the screen from anywhere else. I can now use this easy tool on any other iPhone or Samsung device I have. Quality product that helped me decrease the price of a job from over £200 to £100.

iFixit iOpener Toolkit Bought to replace my old set that apparently went walkies while i was away from my desk. This set while not being perfect i practical used every week for doing some repairs. The is a very durable set and it does the job for me extremely well. The iOpener is a much safer way of doing repairs and would do less damage than some or alternative ways that others choose to use. All the other tools that come with the kit are perfect for most jobs especially removing the data cables and lifting tabs out of the way. Overall i use this all the time its great quality while being very durable.

Perfect for maintaining my Mac mouse.

Didnt had a chance to use it but probably my fault but didnt realized this till I opened the package that the heater to unglue and glue is actually microvaweble and does not have its owp power source. Despite that everything looks good, maybe will write a review after replacing screens

This comes with almost everything you'd needed to take apart a modern smartphone. Some of the plastic tools and levers proved insufficient. I was able to remove the external cover but the battery was a challenge more of the credit card sized plastic would have helped or something more rigid. There are metal tools for this bit it goes without saying to be careful around the battery. I ended up replacing the battery as a precaution as I wasn't sure if I'd damaged it. To be fair this kit is aimed at screens and previous devices I've repaired have not had such a difficult to remove battery. The kit worked very well on just about everything else internally. I think it is good value for money... you should get at least one repair out of it but you might need to replace the plastic levers. I think this would work better on more conventional devices, mid to low range smartphones. Flagship devices tend to be more complicated. Like my phone... Even then this kit and the replacement screen assembly I ordered and battery I spent less than a professional phone repair. And that's with original official parts. I would recommend that you read the repair guide for your device first. I think this will work for most devices but not all. There will be odd tool that they sell that you might benefit from.
