Very Comfortable Fit
This is a review of the 30" XL garment. Since it comes with only a 7 yard lacing, I had to find longer lacing to properly review this item. If you are a "Skinny-Minnie" and are using this as a fashion accessory, then the seven yards may be just right for you. If you have a bit of a "pudge," then you need something longer. I sourced two lengths of lacing: one a 6mm flat and a 3.5mm round. The round was just too stiff, more like a window sash cord than a proper lacing. Form a loop of the lacing and while holding with one hand, take the thumb and index finger of the other hand and gently move to the loop. If the loop closes with little or no additional pressure, then this is a good lacing. It will lie flat and will not overly stress the eyelets. If you have to squeeze the loop closed, then it is too stiff. Camellias has excellent lacing; for me, however, it is just too short. So I took the 6mm flat lacing and sprayed several passes with a dry lubricant. While the Elmers E-450 is my favorite, it can leave a white splotch and was unavailable. [It works great using a nozzle on those jammy import zippers, though.] So I used a Blaster silicone lubricant 16-SL and sprayed the flat lacing several times, turning as I sprayed, outdoors. The solvent took about a day to evaporate, and left no trace. I took this precaution to assure that the lacing on this 15 eyelet-pair garment would proceed smoothly. Any localized stress on the part of the lacing, and you may have an eyelet pull. By pre-lubricating the lacing, then the stress will be much more evenly distributed over the entire garment. My tests involved removing the excellently constructed back panel for simplicity. After a week of wearing from 9 to 13 hours mostly moderately-snug, this garment proved comfortable from the very beginning. Hardly knew I had it on; fell asleep in a chair briefly once. Camellias evidently has done a lot of research and testing in the design and production of this product. From the first day - comfortable. No break-in sore spots. Then tried lacing several notches tighter. While one could feel the "presence" more clearly then - still comfortable. The sides are cut so that the upper rib cage in not engaged, resulting in not only no rib -rubbing, but also giving more torsional freedom. I can easily turn my head about 240o, so driving is completely safe. The seaming is just amazing in comparison to traditional British construction. There are no overlap seams, inside or outside. The pin side edge of the busk has a complete fabric overlay, rather than the single stitch that I am used to [which pulls, and then has to be repaired.] This garment compares very favorably with the custom British units I have had done, and at less than one-sixth the cost. The first place for failure is the busk: the steel cracks at the waist. Here the steel seems to be of a very good quality spring steel and after a week, there is just a gentle uniform arc. I just wish that someone would come up with the idea of putting a button-hole stitch around the busk loops, though, to prevent that seam from unraveling. Next to go are the eyelets; with 15 pairs of eyelets, however, the stress on any individual eyelet should be much lower than on a 12 or 9 eyelet pair construction. Other than the length of the lacing, the only other concern is the most generous cut of the garment around the hips. If you have a "Kim-Kaboose," then this will probably be a perfect fit for you. Otherwise, you may have to take in the hip portion to where it almost touches. Have found that, in general, the more bones, the more even the distribution of stress and thus greater comfort - no localized "hard spots." For back support, this is just superb. Only wish they would make their excellent lacing about 3 yards longer; it is so easy to shorten the length, but not possible to lengthen it.

LOVE the quality, sturdiness, shape, and ease. Sturdy but casual and breathable.
I wear this under so many outfits. Could be worn under clothes or even for fun as lingerie. I love the lacing (more detail at end of review) as well as the breathable fabric that is still able to look elegant and maintain a sharp, clean shape. The one caveat I have noticed with this corset is that my lower-mid back does hurt like usual as if I was not wearing a corset or waist trainer. Not saying yours will since this is an ongoing issue for me, but I have noticed that other corsets/waist trainers have fixed this problem for me while this particular corset doesn’t completely alleviate minor back pain due to my sitting posture. I attribute this to the breathable fabric as opposed to thicker fabrics that don’t budge on other corsets. Despite all this, this corset has given me the best waist shape compared to other ones I have had (which is very impressive), and it’s very easy to wear compared to something with more boning and sturdier fabric. So, if posture is a huge issue for you, perhaps look for a sturdier corset. Despite this I would still purchase this again. SIZE: I have a 27” relaxed waist and purchased a small in this style. The small needs to be let out a lot for me (about a good 5”), but not past the point where it looks strange or loses the shape. I think the medium would have easily worked well for my size, but the fit of the small hasn’t been compromised so I don’t see the point in exchanging and now I can slowly work towards cinching my waist little by little hopefully. SHAPE: I also love how this corset is much wider at the hips. This seems like an obvious statement and that most corsets would be this way, but I’ve found some to not be wide enough at the hips and have caused cramping for me, so I really appreciate ones that accommodate for a woman’s body. LACING: I love the ease in which I can tighten the laces in the back; I attribute this to the ingenious way in which it was laced. The lace ends are tied together so it’s like a large loop. This means you don’t have to worry about matching lace lengths or worry about it coming unlaced. Not to mention the laces meet in the middle of the corset rather than at the top or bottom, which makes for a more uniform tightening with more nuanced control. I would only write such a long review for something I really love, and if you can’t tell, I really love this corset.

Beautiful curves!
Definitely the best quality Camellias corset so far! It has a very curvy cut...perfect fit for my vintage figure...those with less than a 10in difference between waist and hip might find it gaps unless they are very "compressable" in the waist. This corset is thick and sturdy. Much thicker than the other twill corset I have from this company. I was also glad to feel a waist tape in between the layers. Hopefully it will last better than the mesh versions (which I love for their breathability, but not so much for quality or fit). It does create gorgeous curves, and I appreciate the longer front and back on this one. I'm not certain how I feel about the rigid modesty panel. It is "floating", rigid (boned), and definitely offers an extra bit of back support. Probably best for people who wear their corsets as outerwear because it won't bunch up. I do not, and usually cut out modesty panels because it's hot here in TX and it's nice to have some extra "venting" at the back. That being said...the nice thing about the "floating" modestly panel is you can always just unlace the corset entirely and remove it. It comes pre-laced with poly cording. I really prefer the "shoelace" style laces because they're smoother, easier to conceal, and glide better. But I can always change them out. As with all the Camellia's corsets, the price is excellent and this one is definitely worth the few extra dollars. I hope they make more in this style. If they made one in mesh I would be in heaven! So far, I'm giving it 4 stars out of 5. I'll update if my opinion changes for the better or worse.

Strong underbust corset, (some they call it cincher) - quite curvy, fitted as expected, came without delay. I ordered it 10 inches less than my natural waist, and it does its job fine.

Omg....I wore this one day when I went to see my bf at his work. While we were chatting I lifted the side of my top so he could see it, as colleague was close by he couldn't say anything. But I got a text when I was on the way home to say how saucy it was and how it accentuated my assets lol. Comfy when on, worn for three or four hours, fully laced with not much discomfort.
