I wish there was more than 5 stars. This formula saved my baby!!! We struggled with dairy and soy allergies and terrible reflux. We tried all the hypoallergenic formulas and nothing worked. We even tried Elecare another amino based formula and Neocate was the best one! Unfortunately it is extremely expensive for such a small can but I was willing to do anything for my baby to eat.

This formula can be hard to find and it is expensive but when it is the only formula for a precious great granddaughter you buy it!

This is my husband's account... My baby loves this stuff! She has stopped wanting the breast all together because she correlates it with her belly hurting. She's so smart! Cause I know this corn water CAN'T taste better than breast milk! Smells totally gross! But without any lactose it is easier on my baby's belly than breast milk. The main ingredient is corn syrup solids and it DOES contain some soy, both highly dissapointed me when I received the product, but when my baby got full easier, ate slower and fell asleep right away I had a change of heart. She is still colicky, but not as bad and we haven't cut the breast milk out yet, so we will see how much better she gets after that. She is getting happier and more content already with only eating 4 ounces of breast milk, and all other feeding Neocate, today. I feel TERRIBLE giving up breastfeeding, but if synthetic food makes her feel better than that is what we'll do for her. i am worried about her gut flora being properly propagated, but I will have to do some research to see if I can do anything to help that. Please do NOT purchase Neocate for your baby to digest, time and time again I am seeing these formulas causing more harm than good in our babies today. After going through this whole experience with my child that took over a year for her body to heal from the damage and the ingredients they put in formulas now days. These ingredients are not natural and synthetic chemicals our bodies are not meant to consume. Wake up people!!! These manufacturers go the cheapest route to manufacture these products without a single care of how the ingredients can affect our babies today. Yes the FDA regulates everything but are approving so many ingredients that are synthetic and not thoroughly studied. Please try other cleaner options from Europe or donor before resorting to this trash baby formula. After 9 months of being on this formula my babies liver enzymes were so elevated. Soon as we got off she was able to heal appropriately. No doctor will tell you otherwise because there is no thorough documented research as of yet confirming these issues because guess what your babies are the Guinea pigs. and the facts will be there in the future based off of our generation. Stop listening to the FDA as to whats safe and what is not and make a choice by using your common sense. All natural ingredients are what your baby needs not some man made toxic chemical.

Shipping of this item is fine, we haven't received a broken can yet and we order this multiple times a week. It's literally the only formula my son can handle. I think people giving bad reviews on here aren't being fair because it doesn't deserve a bad review because it wasn't the right formula for their children. We tried Gerber Good start, nutramigen and elecare before settling here with Neocate. There's nothing wrong with the others. Our daughter did fantastic on Good Start, but neocate has turned our lives around. We went from having a nightmare of a newborn to a dream of an infant who sleeps the night through and is always happy and smiling. He now only cries when we change his diaper. Which I don't think has anything to do with the formula, I think he just needs to man up already! ;) I included a picture of how happy my son is, He could be smiling here because he just drank a delicious warm bottle of the amino based formula known as Neocate OR (and I'm not a doctor or anything) he could be smiling because he just realized this gorgeous woman who is having a fantastic hair day is his mama...

Seems this product is getting an unfair bad rap in lots of reviews. It's expensive but since it's the only thing my kid can eat and I know a similar elemental formula is priced similarly I'm not gonna knock them for it in a review and I assume it's just the cost of breaking down the food all the way to the amino acids. My kid is apparently even allergic to Elecare (I belive it must be the safflower oil). Lots of comments on the stools with neonate... I don't think those folks have tried elecare!!! I feel like we're back to normal now in comparison. Anyways thankfully we've also never had an issue with the formula smelling bad or baby not liking the taste. The nipples have started clogging once the weather started cooling which is frustrating, but again, this is all she can eat. Rinsing the nipples out on the inside before feeding helps and I think preparing ahead of time, too.
