I opened it, swapped out my GoPro for this adapter, stuck my phone in there and immediately fell in love. I am amazed at how tight of a grip this adapter has on the phone. My Nexus 6 BARELY fits. The holder integrates perfectly with the GoPro-branded mounts and mount components. As long as the suction cup base stays solidly attached, this adapter and my phone are also perfectly stable. I should have done this a long time ago.Update: After a couple of days mounting it to my GoPro suction cup using the end connector, I realized I could regain some visibility if I removed a turn in the GoPro mount and attached the holder directly to the suction cup base using the tripod mount in the center of the back. So I ordered the iPad tripod mount (Amazon part number B01IUA8BJ8) since it included a GoPro to tripod mount adapter for free. Now I have both my phone and iPad on high-quality mounts, and my phone occupies less of my view out the front windshield. Still very happy with the phone mount.1 year (?) update: I've bought three of these things now. I'm totally addicted to them. They all still do an excellent job and I will keep buying more every time I find a place where I want to stick a phone. The latest spot is suction cupped to the moonroof for shooting in-car video.

will probably order another one. perfect for holding my phone on the dashboard of multiple cars. I use a velcro base and it's low profile so doesn't interfere with my sightline for seeing the road but I can pick up directions peripherally.

Works well, I'm pretty rough with things and this bad boy lasted me from Feb until early May.I had it mounted to my Harley Davidson sportster handlebars, added a rubber web thing to really secure my phone and used it to find my way to a campsite. For the price I can't complain and will probably buy another before my next trip.The fault was that maybe it cant handle larger phones, I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and it felt like the springs were getting maxed out until finally as I was pulling the phone out the springs shot out the back and it broke.

This little thing is awesome. It is a phone holder which I use to place on my go pro mount. It works wonderfully and I can pivot the phone at a 90 degree angle relative to the mount which is very handy for selfies and the like. The quality is a strong plastic and mounted was pretty strong. It holds my Galaxy S6 in its otter Box case (Commuter).The mount can also hold other things as it expands and compresses on what it is holding to keep in place. I can hold my go pro if needed (don't know why).It fits in the mount perfectly and the bolt hole is the same size as the gopro ones.Great little mount

Sometimes your action camera isn't enough or your phone simply has a better camera. In my case, i had a bunch of gopro accesories that i did not want to buy again just for my phone. This adapter made it easy and cheap to just use what i have and make the best of it.This holder is plenty big, which is usually a problem for my iphone 6+. It also has a very strong and sturdy grip. The spring inside is super strong and clamps down with authority but not hard enoigh to smash your phone.I really think this was well worth it. I can now use my tripods and mounts for my gopro with my phone

Works well. Just be careful on what you mount it on. My adapter broke sending them phone flying.

Been using this smart phone holder for a couple of weeks now. IPhone 7plus fits perfect if you have a slim case. If you have a thicker case like an otter box or similar it'll be a really tight fit. But love the option to use gopro mounts or tripod mounts. I'll update later to see how the springs hold up to me stuffing my iPhone 7plus with a thick case.
