I ordered this item for my niece's birthday. When we opened the box - there were no gems inside! I paid for gems! The listing says gems! Other items inside of the box were also beaten up - almost like this product had been used. The product itself is very flimsy - basically ready to break once you push down on it to secure the gems. Anyway, by the time the two of us could get together to use it - it was too late to return it according to the seller. They refused to give a partial refund or send the gems. Terrible service and poor quality product! I would not purchase again!

I got this to stud denim myself, as I normally buy jeans already pre-studded. But some are generally plain, so liking the little bit of glitz, I decided to do it myself.I bought it elsewhere than Amazon, and I read a lot of bad reviews. But honestly, I cannot understand them. The machine is nice - sturdily built and not difficult to work with. And the mini machine it comes with is awesome! Really handy for small places like pockets and such (where the larger machine wouldn't fit) It is a little difficult to put the gems into the plungers, but I found if u put the gem on a hard surface face up and then push it onto the top, its easier. I could understand why some may not feel that very young girls could use it. But surely 10 and up should have no issues.I really love the refills come with assorted sizes, and I doubly love they are bezel set - they are far nicer than the classic Tiffany styled settings of yesteryear. Definitely a fun tool to have.
