After the events of the first story, Mason insists his wife Tabitha stop having sex with other men. But she doesn’t want to stop; Mason had pushed her into it in the first place, she says, and now she likes it.She starts flirting with a wealthy customer at the family real estate office. Mason warns her Jesse is just leading her on, that she’s not licensed and can’t sell him property, and that if she had one, seducing the man could get it yanked. She insists she’s just softening him up for Mason and that she hasn’t had sex with him.She’s lying.This story gives me the willies. I don’t really like any of the characters. Mason fails to own that he started Tabitha down the hotwife road. And whatever kink he may have, Tabitha is cheating on him. She tries to sweeten the deal by pimping their sister-in-law Sarah to him. Mason doesn’t want to dog his own brother but Sarah is more than ready for it.When Mason finally consents to letting Tabitha blow Jesse, with Mason watching, it’s only as a condition of Jesse closing a big real estate deal with them; Mason doesn’t want to let his father down, and pimps out his own wife for the payday.Jesse has major hots for Tabitha but I found some of his rough treatment of her here off-putting.Tabitha later says she likes it but Violet doesn’t really sell that.And Violet’s characters make too many comic-book noises during sex: There’s too much “Gafff-URK-ACK!”I think this is one of the harder things for erotica writers to do; few do it well and it directly affects my enjoyment of sex scenes. If characters don’t say anything the reader can’t hear them and it’s less intense. If they moan and groan, that’s more realistic, but a lost opportunity to create heat with spoken words. If, on the other hand, they talk too much - speaking in complete and grammatical sentences, say - that’s not realistic either.
