Adult Female Dress Form Mannequin Padding System for Professional Dress Forms (12 Piece Set) #PAD-ST

I am currently using this kit to pad out a display mannequin. It works great because of the cover, as I can't pin the pads to the display. Only worry is how tight the cover is on this size 6 display with the pads inserted. It makes it nice and smooth, but I do worry about if it will fit on a larger variable size sewing dummy. The pads will be fine, not so sure the cover will stretch enough.

Phew, this was a BEAST to put on my form. The over shirt is TIGHT. But it does work. I finally have my sewing form where I need it to work for my body. It's a workout to just pull the shirt on (think trying to put an xs on a XL body) but it holds in place. Found out it was best to slowly roll it down and put pieces in, then readjust through armholes.

This thing was a PITA to stretch and squeeze over my dress form, but once I finally got it on there it works great to hold padding on the form. The included foam pieces are nice, and I am sure that they would work for many people, but there were only a handful that actually worked for me with my shape. I wish it included a couple more bust pads, because I ended up having to use some bra pads to get the right shape. The little filler shaped are a strange shape so they didn't work well for filling in the bust. But the belly pad and shoulder pads were perfect. Now my dress form matches my body measurements as closely as possible, and it makes it so much easier to fit and drape my projects. It's a little tricky to move and adjust the padding, but I found that reaching in from the arm holes or up from the bottom worked well. The seams seem like they will hold up fine, but I wouldn't trust it over a bigger sized form to be honest. For reference my measurements are 40" bust 33 " waist 41" hips, and I usually sew between a size 12-16 in American sewing patterns (L or XL), depending on the brand and type of pattern. IMPORTANT NOTE- for new sewers, please keep in mind that sewing pattern sizes are different from clothing store dress sizes, especially with vintage sewing patterns. So for vintage patterns this cover will fit up to about a size 18 or 20 (which would be about a size 12-14 in modern clothing sizes) As a funny side note, my 2 year old now refers to my dress form as the "mommy snowman" ever since adding this cover and padding lol.

Simple dress form took these perfectly. The overlay they give you, which is like a sleeveless mock turtleneck, keeps everything very much in place while you drape or hang garments on it

Although the foam padding pieces are OK, the cover that is included is for a much smaller dress form. I simply could not get it over the shoulders of my plus-size dress form without tearing the cover and breaking my form. It seems to me that if you are selling a system that increases the size of the dress form, then it seems logical that they would size up the cover accordingly. Now I need to find something that is very stretchy and tight to go over my dress form. I have called the company (Roxy) and left a message. Let's see if they return my call.

Dress forms are expensive enough and these are great to pad it to accommodate for your size or the size of your client. The pads are easy to adjust and form well to the base.

Easy to use. The cover is a tight fit for my expanded dimensions (Misses dress size 14), but it worked!

The cotton slip cover only fits a small size manikin and if the manikin has a pin padding on it already the slip cover will not go onto the manikin at all. The foam padding can be pinned onto the padded manikin so at least I can use it partway. Not worth the money.
