Relief of Derry Symphony

Had recently heard this piece performed live and was immediately impressed. Sought out cd on Amazon and delighted to find it. It has fully lived up to my expectation.Pablo B

J'espérais découvrir mieux en matière de musique Irelandaise. L'enregistrement date et n'est pas de très bonne qualité. On s'ennuie un peu. Heureusement que je ne l'ai pas payé cher.

After hearing this at work one day on NPR, I'd been trying for months to find a recording. It is a very unusual piece, composed to commerate a very unusual war.The recording quailty is very good and clear. The only negative is that shipping took a long time, as it comes from teh UK. IT is very worth the wait though. I'd also encourage anyone who orders it to read the program notes as well. They are very moving and explain the composition extremely well.

Wonderful: interesting musically and a terrific subject. So glad to have it; hope to go back to the real place one day.
