Taste good, a little gritty, mostly sugar and butter.
Taste good, intense, a little gritty, mostly sugar and butter, with a little hint of vanilla and lecithin. The ones I got were fresh with centers still soft. Might be a little bit too gritty for some people--it's like rolling sugar between your tongue and upper palate, probably because actual sugar (not micronized) used in the manufacturing process. Overall, it's a pretty natural tasting candy that delivers the sugar and butter voomf and it is hard to eat more than 3 of these things in a row even when drinking strong coffee alongside.

Great Ukrainian candy
Used to get this from my local candy store which no longer carries it. It’s for my grandson. A little too sweet for me but he loves them.

A great traditional candy WITHOUT PRESERVATIVES
As a child, we used to get the Polish version of these "cow candies" from delis on the south side of Chicago. I'm sure they were imported by boat, as they were ALWAYS crystalized inside. Nowadays the Polish version is never crystalized; instead it's quite gooey inside and stays that way for months. You guessed it; preservatives have been added. Please, please, folks, learn to love the crystallization, like I do! Please, Roshen, don't add preservatives -- we have enough chemical additives here to kill us already!

Delicious!
Actually, these are a gift, but I know for myself they are so good! My daughter brought some back from Ukraine.

Way too sugar-crunchy in a bad way
One of the big cooking mistakes that happen with candy, cookies and fudge is not dissolving the sugar in the mix. So instead of having a creamy smooth texture it just crunches with sugar crystals. I'm not a food scientist, so maybe there's some product storage problem that could cause this after cooking? Not sure what to blame here. I usually love Roshen products, but these went right into the trash can. Not a good candy experience.

Old and staled!
I’ve eaten these candies for years and these were absolutely awful. They’re very stale and have absorbed flavors of whatever else they are stored around. Half of them are discolored. Will stick with the other places I’ve found that sell these. Not recommended!
