Cost effective, functions as advertised
This unit has checked all the boxes as a replacement for my 2010 JK Sport. Installation- Installation was relatively straightforward, Stinger’s YouTube video helped a lot but I noticed mine came in a metal encasing which I had to remove to get at the mounting screw holes for the unit. Overall it took me about 3 hours, but I didn’t have a backup camera or anything else to hook into it. Connectivity- So far, I’ve had great luck with CarPlay. Unit powers up upon start and almost instantly connects to my phone. The wireless CarPlay works better than a lot of cars I’ve driven with organic CarPlay. UI- the screen is easy to manipulate and pretty fast, as in there’s not a noticeable lag that I’ve seen. The stinger home menu is a bit dated, but I’d imagine most people will be in CarPlay or android auto anyways. I like the auto-dimming screen, but it gets just a little too dim for me at night and I’ve noticed I had to turn it up a bit. Sound quality is great, there’s a noticeable difference from the OEM head unit, even without other aftermarket additions. Looks- as other reviewers have mentioned, the 6.8” unit looks like it was meant to be there. It doesn’t obviously look like an add-on, which was important to me because I don’t heavily mod my jeep. Gripes- I haven’t figured out how to disable the rear camera view (I don’t have a rear camera), so whenever I put the car in reverse there’s just a large “NO SIGNAL DETECTED” that I can’t figure out how to remove or tell the unit I don’t have one. The camera UI will not let me turn off rear view camera. Overall, I love the unit so far and definitely feel as if it was worth the $379. Quality of life in the wrangler with CarPlay and great audio is much better now, and I’m not having any buyer’s remorse. I’d recommend it!

Definitely worth it
Let me start by saying I'm not a gadget or sterio guy. I buy a head unit only when the OEM one fails and I base my purchase off of: > OEM compatibility (will the radio integrate with the steering wheel controls) > Aesthetics (does it look like it belongs in the vehicle) > Features (XM compatibility, blue tooth/ Android auto and customizable features such as cameras if I choose to aff on later) > Price point. I'm not spending $1200 for a head unit. This stinger radio checked all the boxes. Installation was incredibly easy, true plug and play installation. XM compatible (you have to buy the XM tuner kit seperate, approximately $50). Android auto (also has apple car play) does exactly what it's supposed to. Works with all the steering wheel buttons like it should (only difference is the VR button now activates the virtual assistant). Over all, it fits and looks OEM, like it's supposed to be there. I'm very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this to anyone who is particular like myself. 10/10 for sure.

Overpriced for Quality
Installed this unit in my 2013 Jeep JK a few weeks ago and we are quite disappointed in its functionality. Installation was pretty straightforward with several videos available and descent instructions. The only hiccup was during wire pairing, the instructions called for a light green wire and green wire but both were the same green color so I had to do some digging to determine what "green" wire needed to be connected. Having a background in mechanics and electronics it only took a few minutes but could be problematic for those that do not have that skill set. The SiriusXM ready is also very misleading. Although it has the plugin you have to purchase additional equipment for it to work as you cannot plug it into the existing SiriusXM antenna that is already in the Jeep. Once installed I fired it up and was quickly disappointed. The screen size is great but lacks aesthetics resembling a Windows 93 format that has not been updated since. The Apple CarPlay is very temperamental and does not work correctly (at least on my unit) and If I desire to listen to a podcast I have to start it in Bluetooth mode and then connect it to the system via the lighting cable to play. The system will show the icons and allow you to select the podcast via Carplay but it will not play. I use Waze navigation and it works quite well but routinely gets hung up and I have to close it out on my phone for it to work properly. All in all, we are very disappointed in this product and regret purchasing it and considering reinstalling the factory unit. Another issue is that the videos tell you to remove the old metal bracket in the back but the problem is that it has an arm that accepts a 7mm screw from under the rubber cover in the center of the console and if you remove the bracket you lose that mounting point and the dash can move if you grab it. Now, with that being said, I don't know too many folks that will yank on the dash routinely but my OCD keeps irking me that it will still move. One workaround that I have considered is cutting the bracket so only the top pylon is left and remounting it so the screw mounting point is available but don't know if it will interfere with the new unit. That will be a prospect worth considering if we don't revert back to the old unit. If you purchase this unit I hope your experience is better than mine. It could just be that my expectations were quite high due to the cost but unlikely.

ALMOST Perfect, IMO
There is SSO MUCH to love about this unit. The sound is great, the abundance of features is great, the crazy mix of available inputs and outputs is REALLY great! My setup is in a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited (JK) * Front & Rear Camera - Works when put in reverse & also when put back into drive. Hooked into the speed sensors for automatic camera operation. GREAT * Radio works well * Bluetooth work GREAT (Wish I could increase the input volume on that even more, though) * Sirius XM has been an issue. I got an adapter (separately) to connect the SXM radio (separate) to the unit and it keeps dropping out (I THINK THIS IS THE SXM RADIO, not the Heigh10) * HDMI in works well * Android Auto works well - I have it on a new vihicle as well and this is a little less responsive, but acceptable * Audio options are INCREDIBLE. I have played with the EQ and Time compensation and am thoroughly impressed. I upgraded the stock speakers to the Kickers from Mopar while also beefing up the enclosures and they work great together. My ONLY BEEF: on the Radio and SXM, changing the Band should not change the channel. The channel I am currently listening to should ONLY change when I select a new channel, NOT when changing the Band. Here's the use case and where this issue is FRUSTRATING. I am currently listening to a channel (selected it from the dial or Prev/Next buttons and decide I want to save it out. My current Band is full, so I press the Band button to find an open channel. WELL CRAP, I just lost the channel because it changed the channel to the one I had last used from the new Band. That cost a star because this keeps happening.

Worth every penny. It’s a huge upgrade from the stock radio and most aftermarket head units
INSTRUCTIONS: are simplified for just about anyone with little knowledge of basic wiring/electronics. AUDIO: Sound Quality is excellent! Plenty of options with EQ & time alignment. SCREEN: it’s BIG not too much but just right, Image quality is crisp and bright, touchscreen response is dead on. BLUETOOTH/CARPLAY: both work perfectly. No problems connecting or with functionality. CAMERAS: The side camera feature is really nice, the image takes over the whole screen when the camera pops on after the blinker is turned on. It would be nice if it only used half of the screen so you could still see Maps ect... It would be awesome if they did camera stitching with all 4 cameras while you backup. INTERFACE: I’m one of those people that likes lots of features and customizable settings. Unfortunately that isn’t the case. You can change the color of the lights on the buttons and choose from a handful of backgrounds and that’s about it. You can’t add any additional apps. The Radio software needed to be updated, doing it isn’t hard you just need a USB memory stick and just follow the instructions on their website. It’s definitely worth it cause you get more features and they cleaned up the interface.

Was of time and money
I had to replace this item with warranty. Great company but mediocre product. I ended up returning it and the cameras. PITA to install and never worked well. Co-worker got same one and they have issues with it nearly monthly. Your results may be different but not worth it for me. Great idea but poor execution.
