Wow, easy to use. Knives are sharp.

This honing steel rod is extremely effective at sharpening my kitchen knives in addition to my folding knives. I even got a fantastic edge on a box cutter with it. I had to dock it one star because it has the Victorinox name laser etched on the bottom portion of the steel and that interferes with the long sharpening passes I do with my knives. I have to position the rod a certain way so I don't go over it. The etching is pretty far down on the rod but I still find it to be a nuisance & unnecessary being how the name is also on the handle.

Not too heavy. Easy to hold. Seems to do the job.

This Victorinox Honing Steel does a great job. The metal is made in Switzerland and its quality is highly apparent. The Fibrox handle is my favorite type of handle, as it is extremely easy to hold onto even when wet. The handle is not as smooth and shiny as the product photo indicates, but at the same time it is not quite as "rough" as the Fibrox handle on my Victorinox knives. It's important to remember that a honing steel will not sharpen a dull knife. Rather, its purpose is to re-align the edge on an already sharpened knife. Before using a knife, I give it three gentle passes on each side along this honing steel. This not only helps the knife to cut better immediately, but if helps the knife to hold its edge longer. I am highly satisfied with this steel. If you don't like the Fibrox handle, I strongly suggest that you still shop for Victorinox products with wood handles.

Comme indiqué dans le titre, le manche est trop petit pour une bonne prise en main et il est plat, vraiment étrange de la part de victorinox, un manche rond et plus gros aurait été parfait, Sinon il a l'air de redonner vie au couteau mais il n'est pas pratique,je ne recommande pas cet article
