Great idea, great execution!
I spent weeks and weeks searching the internet for nice-looking, highly rated, but not crazy overpriced umbrella bases. All the well rated ones cost more than our umbrella did!! Many were somewhat ugly, and most had bad reviews. When I came upon this it looked perfect! It was a little more money than I had been looking to spend, but I could plant succulents all around the base so it would be really pretty! It was also important to me to have wheels so we could move the umbrella around easily depending on the time of day or where we were sitting. It’s super sturdy, and with the soil in the base I have no concerns about it not being weighted down enough. It came with multiple sized plastic inserts to secure the umbrella pole in the center of the base opening, which makes it more sturdy but also keeps the umbrella from being unnecessarily tilty. As others have said, it’s hard to roll when it’s full of soil, but I’ve found I don’t need to move it much so that’s not a big deal. And I’d much rather it be sturdy than easily rolled.

Excellent umbrella stand.
The stand was purchased for a bird feeder pole that was moved from its original lawn site to a cemented back yard site. As the pole was thinner than an outdoor umbrella, I had to add several stainless steel thin strips to fill the area around the pole in order to be able to stabilize it and tightly secure it in place. Once that was done I covered and water sealed the opening to prevent the rain accumulating around the pole in the long run. The 26 pounds base it’s heavy and provides good stability for the pole, which is 104 inches tall. I definitely love this stand and I purchased a second one for the same purpose. Definitely recommend it to those interested in strong outdoor stands.

Nice & Sturdy umbrella stand
This is a well made umbrella base perfect for my 7.5” umbrella. The bronze color is very nice and goes with every decor, Setting up is a simple process. Inside the stem, there's a plastic post protector where your umbrella pole can fit perfectly. Overall I am very satisfied.

Insufficient for holding umbrella in base.
We use this on our 3rd floor deck, where it is somewhat windy, gusting up to 15 mph. We don't leave the umbrella out unattended, it would probably not stay put. The problem is the umbrella and the base don't work together. The pin holding the umbrella in place works only by pressure. The umbrella and base need to have a pin that goes all the way through the base and umbrella pole, out the other side, and locks into place. Then the base could hold it in place, at least enough for us not to have to watch it constantly.

Top Quality
This is the absolute best stand out there. They are expensive but are worth the investment. Don't waste your time and money on others. I own two other types of umbrella stands which don't measure up. Once this stand is anchored down with weight (I use about 8-10 bricks, then fill the entire container with attractive rocks) it guarantees stability even against strong wind. It also keeps your pole standing straight which can be quite difficult to achieve if you don't have a good stand. This product works well and is very attractive. I highly recommend it.

Don't go by the dimensions!
It went together easily, but the bolt hole through the base was chipped on the bottom. A larger diameter washer took care oof that. The welds on the threaded cross member in the tube were poor, and I can see how they could fail, especially if water collects inside the tube, which is likely, being an outdoor item. The main issue, however, is the overall assembled height. I needed one no more than 12 inches tall and the drawing indicated this one would be under 12" (10.04" + 1.57 = 11.61"). The actual height is a little over 13", so it will not fit under the table. Back it goes!

Not that sturdy
I chose this umbrella base because the Of the wide diameter of the base and the weight, thinking that it would make it very sturdy. I have a typical market umbrella. However even when the umbrella is completely closed the wind has managed to knock over the umbrella and the stand on my balcony on the second floor. This is rather disappointing. However it does look nice. The first one I ordered was marked as used in original packaging in perfect condition but the package was damaged. However when I received it the package was broken open and the base was broken in half. I would not recommend purchasing one that is not new.

Aesteticcally pleasing yet functional
Love the look of this piece & it is extremely sturdy. Our umbrella that angles to block the sun now remains stable as the breeze blows. Great investment!
