... well, actually no, the fresnel lens is. Very easy to get a piece of paper smoldering if it is sunny out, and is a servicable magnifying glass and a nice small, convenient ruler.

I can confirm that this does burn cardboard! I doubt it would start a fire, but it does burn. And very thin for your wallet. Fun for the kids in summer sun.
