The SB-200 was not only designed for 22 rifle small bore competitors, but also for varmint hunters and plinkers. It will easily hold 100 rounds in the down position for easy access during competition. Space in the center is available which can hold two full 50 round boxes. Recently retooled and now fits 17 HMR. Holds Up To: 250 rounds of: 22 Long Rifle, 22 Long, 17 Mach 2, 22 LR 150 rounds of: 17 HMR

Love this little box! Wish it was lockable.
Dimensions: 8.5" x 4" x 2"Capacity: 250 bullets total: 100 loose and up to 150 boxed (3 boxes of 50 each).Note: DOES NOT come with ammo (some reviewers complain they thought it came with the ammo, but it is just the box). This is a great little box. It gives you easy access to 100 rounds, and has storage for up to 150 additional. It is a simple, good looking little box, and the blue color looks better in person than in the product image. It is a nice size and shape, and made out of textured plastic which gives you a better grip on the box when you hold it. The hinge is a little stiff at first and doesn't want to stay open, but its thickness is what makes it durable (and once you open and close it a few times, this won't be an issue). The latch closes securely. It is possible that the latch could get snagged and pulled open if not properly stored in your bag, but this should not be a problem if it is packed securely. I do wish this box had a way to lock it shut, such as holes on each half that line up when the box is closed for attaching an external lock. To me, this is my only real disappointment with this box. Some reviewers complain about their box arriving warped and not closing properly. Mine is not warped at all and closes nicely (if you happen to get a bad one, I suggest getting a replacement). The function of the "loose" ammo slots is great. The holes are spaced well for being able to pull a single bullet out at a time. My .22 long rifle bullets sit nicely (nose-down) in the holes. The bottoms of the ammo holes are rounded so the bullets sit well and don't wiggle around too much. The tops of the bullets sit high enough above the holes to let you grip them well when pulling them out.A bunch of reviewers complain about the bullets moving around in the box if it's tipped. I experimented with this and was unable to get the bullets to fall out of their holes with the lid shut. However, the bullets do "slide" and hit the inside of the lid before falling back into place in their holes. For safety and noise reasons, I chose to remedy this. I cut a piece of foam (1/2" thick) to fit up inside the lid (as shown in my photos), which keeps the bullets nice and still during transport. I also cut a small piece of foam to keep the boxed ammo from sliding around. Some reviewers complain about needing to do this, but honestly it is a cheap and easy way to make this already great box just that much more awesome. This box also gives you some options for storing your extra boxes of ammo. You can easily store 2 of the larger plastic packs or 3 of the smaller cardboard boxes. There are other options as well, such as 1 plastic and 1 cardboard, 2 cardboard, etc. Since I already had foam from modifying the inside of the lid, I used an extra piece to make a small spacer to keep my 2 boxes from moving around. You can arrange boxes flat or on their sides, or a combination of both. When using 3 cardboard boxes, they fit the best when one is flat and 2 are on their sides (see photos). If you want to hold any of the boxes on their sides and add foam to your lid, I suggest two separate pieces of foam that cover only the loose ammo sections (the boxes stick up into the lid quite a bit when on their sides). As another reviewed stated, this should be kept out of the sun/heat, both for safety reasons and to keep it from warping.

Nice little box
Holds fifty .22cal rounds on each side. Has additional box capacity in the middle. A 325rd box is too big to fit in the middle but emptied out and every round in the holes filled you can fit the other 225 in the middle without box. I didnt like that if the box gets bumped and falls over, the rounds dont stay in place. So i took an Amazon bubble wrap package, cut it to the length of the box, folded it 4 times and taped it together and added a few pieces of double sided tape to the back to keep in in place. Now loose rounds stay in the middle and slotted rounds dont wiggle around or fall out.

The only tip down 22lr case that is readily available.
I can't seem to find any other useful tip down 22lr cases out there other than this one. Holds 100 rounds in the tip down slots and 3 boxes of Aguila Super Extra in their retail boxes for a total of 250 rounds. I like to sort the cartridges by weight and they're very accessible. The box is bigger than if you were to carry CCI sleds but it also makes it very easy to access 100 rounds for loading mags on the fly. I'd rather it was configured for 150 rounds rather than having extra space for the boxes but that's just me.

Does the job - waisted valuable space
This holds the .22 rounds well. Room in the middle for 50 count boxes. Since I normally purchase 500 count boxes, this space was unused, guess I will need to find some 50 count boxes. The only down fall with the box is in the hinge, it is a molded plastic that bends. Not a normal hinge. The space between the round is too large. Way too much waisted space. May work well for people who have a harder time grabbing the ammo, but for me, too much waisted space for my application. I may return them, yet to be decided.

Worth every penny!
This case is worth every penny you will spend on it. Forget the typical boxes and plastic holders your normal 22 ammo comes in. These cases prevent rain and most moisture from penetrating your ammo while outside. They're definitely NOT waterproof but they do help prevent your rounds from being soaked by the rain in bad conditions. These cases also make it so your rounds do not bounce around and become dented/damaged. Not to mention, you can place certain types of ammo in one case or one side and then label them appropriately. Great if you have multiple types of ammo like I do. I use everything from 60 grain 22 rounds to 29 grain hyper velocity rounds. These cases are excellent for carrying/organizing multiple types of ammo for easy access. I highly recommend these to anyone who target shoots or has lots of different ammo types to organize. I bought a total of 4 I love this case so much.

A good storage box, BUT
A good storage box, but I still have not decided if they are as effective as the other style storage boxes. All my .17 ammo comes in 50 round plastic trays so this box has no real value for that Ammo. Now for my .22 ammo I buy it in bulk, 300-500 round, boxes so if this box would be designed to hold say 150 rounds it would be perfect for storage and for range use.

Nice box for the range.
I've used the box several times for sighting in from a bench and used it at a .22 match this past weekend. The box is convenient and fits in my case perfectly. It holds 100 rounds out of the box and can hold up to three extra boxes in the storage area in the middle...or 2 boxes and some earplugs. The only issue I have with the box is that the "hinge" is just part of the one-piece molded case. It is stiff and will not stay open without weighing down the lid. I tried a 50 round box of .22 ammo to weigh it down and it still flipped back over. I load my tube-fed and magazines 10 rounds at a time, so it's tolerable, but if I were using a single shot it would be unbearable. I'm hoping that it will loosen up with some use.

Great product
It fits only 100 rounds instead of 200 as described. Cartridges will fly everywhere once you open the box if you put them loosely in the middle compartment. -1 star otherwise is really good for target shooting
