Risky purchase - No Axis support after 2.28.2025
Wanted to buy but found out after calling Axis they will not help in whatsoever manner after 02.28.2025. Cancelled purchase. In most cases, Axis cameras require some level of initial support. The entire description is wrong. Its not battery operated or Wifi but standard POE input and has no provision to add audio later also (Axis usually offers PortCast but its not available for this camera).

Misconceptions about this series of cameras
These cameras do NOT require anything more than a POE power injector just like lots of other cameras. It also has a micro SD slot for video storage on the camera and you can access that video remotely via the Companion app (only the companion series). You can access the live video using a web browser (motion JPEG) or you can put in a RTSP uRL in to stream to something like Wowza or grab video using the Axis Camera Station, Blue Iris or many other video surveillance systems that support the ONVIF standard.
