Flea n tick shampoo
This is the best shampoo I've gotten so far, it has a great smell that last way longer than any other flea shampoo. The best part is it so hard to find flea and tick shampoo that does what it says, this is the only shampoo that does what it says, it repels ticks and fleas and the fleas that are currently on your pet this shampoo kills them. I'm so happy I finally found a shampoo that I can rely on. I'll definitely be ordering more of this. What great about it also, is the price. Don't take my word for it try it for yourself

Fantastic shampoo for silky smooth hair, not hugely powerful vs. fleas
This shampoo is awesome for giving a fluffy dog extra silky smooth hair. In terms of that, it is easily a 5-star shampoo. About its flea stopping power here is my assessment:-I can confirm that it rapidly kills fleas during bath time. Even just the swipe of the suds were shown to drop a flea instantly that was trying to hide on my dogs nose.-I doubted this product would kill fleas for the advertised 10-days. While it did seem to stop the fleas really setting up shop again with flea dirt, it drove the surviving fleas to the least hairy spots (tummy & gentiles) where they seemed "okay" and were able to get a foothold again.-I seldom if ever saw dead adult fleas during the 10-day period, having used it twice.-My sense is that it did persist in killing eggs/maggots, but this speculation since I'm never able to identify them.-The fleas this year were unusually strong and large so it's possible they were resistant to Sentry Oatmeal. It seems fairly mild, which is what I wanted.-It did very little or nothing to reduce dog itchiness.-Dogs were completely infested 7-days after using it. All areas were well cleaned.-Says on the bottle it takes a few days to kill ticks, but I cannot confirm this or not. Thankfully.Bottom-line: Worth a try especially if you want a silky shampoo and the fleas are not full scale war at your home. The vet can give your dogs a chewable prescription pill - that works 100x better than this.

IT REALLY DOES WORK, BUT . . .
. . . BUT, ONCE YOUR PET HAS FLEAS YOU HAVE TO BATHE THEM AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, TREAT YOUR DOG AND/OR CAT BEDDING FOR FLEAS. APPLY A FLEA POWDER ON YOUR CARPETING, AND USE A FLEA SPRAY ON YOUR YARD (i highly recommend Sentry as that is what worked for me) IN ORDER TO KEEP YOUR PETS FREE FROM RE-INFESTATION.I read all the 1 star reviews and it's true that there will always be someone that will be allergic to something. My mother was allergic to penicillin and insulin (although she was diabetic) and we learned about these allergies when she went into shock and then a coma when these drugs where administered to her. But, that doesn't mean that NO ONE should use penicillin and insulin.I have to bathe a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd. Both have "other" skin allergies that require medicated shampoos. So I always apply the Sentry shampoo on the GS first and let her sit with the Sentry shampoo while I apply the Sentry shampoo on the GR. Then I rinse the Sentry shampoo off the GS and apply her medicated shampoo while the GR is sitting with the Sentry Shampoo. Since the medicated shampoos on both dogs also have to sit I just keep trading until I get to their rinses. It takes me a good 10-15 minutes to get through a bath or rinse/bath so the Sentry shampoo does stay on at least the recommended amount of time.I've been doing the flea regime stated above since mid-august and I it took almost this long, but pets, house and yard are now all flea-free. Because of their skin issues, I have to bathe them twice a week. When their fleas were really bad I used the flea bath with every bath. Now that we don't have any fleas, I only use it maybe every week to 10 days. For the reviewer concerned that it turned the dog's coat brownish. I used to bathe a white Maltese that I had to follow-up with a whitening shampoo. As long as you allow the Sentry to sit on the dog for the recommended time, I have found that you're OK to follow up with another shampoo and/or conditioner. It does indeed smell great while I'm shampooing my dogs. Unfortunately, I have to followup with a medicated shampoo that washes away the scent of this shampoo. So not sure about how long the scent might "stay" on the dog after it dries.
