Product was delivered on time and undamaged, FedEx driver was excellent and placed in my garage for me.One caveat, the product does not come as pictured, the backwash valve is not included as shown. I think Amazon needs to change the images on line as this is not accurate.The ad does state "multiport valve sold separately ", this is a slide valve so I assumed the filter cartridge was included..We did have to spend extra on a separate purchase for the valve.Hayward is top equipment.

An internal pipe that supports the filter grid was broken during shipping, but I had the tools to repair it myself so the seller promptly gave me a partial reimbursement for my troubles. Installation was easy as it was a direct replacement for my old Hayward stainless steel DE filter tank, and the fittings matched right up. The tank O-ring seal and the bleeder valve are better engineered than on my old DE filter tank.

Perfect replacement for the old one that lasted 17+ years sitting in direct Arizona sun. Super easy to install. Note that you may want to dis-assemble it if you have to lift it over piping and other pool equipment because it is pretty heavy. Once you pull off the top and remove the filter assembly it is easy to lift into place and plug into the existing inlet and outlets. Reassembly is a breeze and it works as it should, keeping my pool sparkling clean. It isn't exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for and all pool equipment is pricey.

The picture is a little deceiving. I purchased it with the intent that their would be no filter and if one came it would be a bonus. This is a genuine Hayward filter and is great quality. I'm happy to have finally changed out my old sand filter. The water has never been more clear!! Lastly the filter is slick! Not very large. Of course I had a sand filter so they are way bigger!!

This $1,402.92 Hayward DE filter was purchased for my 45K salt water swimming pool as a replacement for my older Hayward 6020 pool filter. Upon installation this filter allowed DE to enter and cover the bottom of my pool. Although the defective filter was installed, after numerous telephone calls and emails, it was evident we would not receive a replacement "until" the defective filter was returned to the 3Rd. party seller. Since I required a "working" DE Filterer to circulate water in my pool, after 2+ weeks, I was forced to "purchase" another identical filter "now" priced at an additional $1,464.99 to enable use of the box from the second filter for return. I carefully put the defective filter in the second filter box for return of same. The defective filter was picked up yesterday. We have been trying to vacuum the DE off the bottom of our pool which has been a laborious un ending process. After three days of vacuuming, 3x per day, our pool still has DE settling to the bottom, sides and most crevices. No credit for all our 3 + weeks efforts to return the defective filter and our continuing efforts to make our swimming pool again swimmable.

Everything was fine with the shipping and receiving the product. But when I went to install it the bottom port on the product was leaking, after taking it apart I saw the o-ring had been pinched/stretched during install or something. I had to remove it and then when putting it back on, it seemed like it was too big, I managed to get it tight and sealed without leaking, but it took some tweaking with it to get it to seal right. I would just recommend to make sure the o-ring are seated properly on the outlet ports next time.Thanks
