Very efficient. Best with 2 sources of power
Very efficient. Definitely has lowered attic temps. This works with automatic temperature control, but since the thermostat is somewhere inside the fan, if the direction of an outside breeze is toward the fan, it might get up to 90 or 95 degrees F inside the attic before it turns on. Usually it's better than that and might turn on around 75 F or so. It really does seem to work better if you power it from both solar as well as a 120 volt outlet in the attic so it runs longer. I added more soffit vents to help it do its thing. I now have about 7 sq.ft. of soffit vents, which works ok. I did cut some white "plastic cardboard" to custom block air holes around the vent where it's mounted.

Working as well as expected
So I’ve given this fan an impossible task. I have a single story house in Florida with a full southern exposure. The fan is installed at one end of the house. Let’s just say that the fan falls behind in the summer. I only have it running on AC power right now. I have home solar and it’s on an inverter circuit. The power usage is pretty low so I do t feel like I need to add the dedicated solar panel yet. Anyway it moves air very well and was easy for me to install. It responds as it should to temperature and humidity and runs very quietly. I’m going to get another one for the other end of my house.

Good quality product!
This is my second fan from this company and they are really well made and worth the extra price tag. It was really easy to install and working great so far. Highly recommended!

Built Right
Can’t find a complaint, all over great build and quality in every little detail. Powerful and even low light cloud cover it pulls a good breeze on solar alone. Very quiet too.I always take apart all things with electric motors wjen brand new and I was so impressed with the motors build it’s akin to old 1950, German build quality and solid with excellent precision roller bearings that I oiled with my custom oil I mix with pencil graphite that makes motors run for generations to come without fail of bushings or bearings. Growing up I saw that companies began to give us things with electric motors without oiling them when Built for planed obsolescence to make things not last much more than it’s warranty limits and this the way it’s built can run a lifetime but with my oil o know it will run as long as it’s not burnt in a fire lol. I’ve not been this impressed with anything made these days until I came across this little green gem.I’m trying to come up with all kinds of ideas to get more of these and use them for travel and outdoor things and even porch fans that time all the time when it’s hot and not worry about it running when I’m not out there with it wasting electricity. I siliconed everything like the solar panel to keep it clean from dust and pollens for years to come to stay perfectly clean whenever it rains and the outside cable wire also to protect it more from the sun and weather deterioration to get more life out of it also. The wire casing material Ms are awesome also to last as long as possible too. I appreciate this company and the care to details and quality they put into this great fan and hope the rest of the world’s manufacturers learn to be the same so people praise them for their products such as this I do here. Like it used to be in our world long ago when there was good pride in all things and they were built to hand down and not just to make the garbage dumps so overloaded with trash. Thanks Quiet Cool and team…

Nifty
I wish I bought this in the first place. It works pretty good considering the power draw. Mind you it runs on solar nearly all the time. The install was easy only took maybe an hour. Majority of the time was spent in the attic. I wish that it would have come with the corrugate plastic to isolate the air flow, like their other fan that I purchased. It's fairly light weight. It's lasted me the whole summer so far with no issues. For this price it'll basically pay for itself with all the power you are saving.

Great Attic Fan in Florida!
I installed this in a house in Cocoa FL. The day we put it in it was 140* in the attic. The outside air was 100 with the heat index at 106. I have installed 3 of these fans for customers of mine. They all say that it has allowed them to up there AC temp at least 3 degrees. In Florida that’s BIG!That saves a lot of energy and money. The fan is quiet! I’ve had it running 3 months in my house. It’s made a big difference in the comfort of the house.
